This video reminded me that yeah, we are all stories in the end --but some stories are more powerful than others. Imagine how many people have been touched by the story of the doctor, that impossible man and his blue box who really has shown us "a better way of living life." Maybe we are all stories in the end, but some stories can change everything. Thanks so much for this.

He was definitely great. I think the reason he isn't remembered so much is because he was only there for one season. The longer time you spend with something, the more he grows on you.

Of course I don't believe that the doctor is "real" --he's a story in the end. But the way stories make us feel, the way they inspire us to think and to live our lives in new, creative and human ways is VERY real. That's why we have art, it's why art is almost as old as humanity. Stories and art might not be "real" in a strict physical sense but they have their own powerful reality. I think that's what this video is actually all about.

Yes and no. It's completely different because that's the concept of Doctor Who: Constant change, trying out new things, never standing still. This is also why there's always going to be people who like "this doc" or "that season" better, because every doctor, every character, every season appeals to different kinds of tastes. That's what makes this show so great.

I don't know about you but I cried...this hurts my heart in ways you can't imagine....I wonder if you can do individual tributes to certain companions or Doctors. Like Rose, shes my favorite, or Donna...it would be nice...and even Martha! To be honest, many people don't like Martha or Rose, but if your a true who then you realize...that every companion, old or young, bossy or quiet, bold or shy, sassy or prep, that they all saved the Doctor's life...in a way you can't imagine. And the Doctor needs them, yes, the Doctor fell in love with Rose, and yes Martha fell in love with the Doctor and yes, Mickey is an Idiot...but they impacted him. And they impacted us.

Exactly! That's what I meant by "taste". The characters of Amy and Rory don't appeal to you because they have different characteristics and different plots than Rose for example. She was a character that was very easy to like which is why so many more people got emotional about her end.
