Bless Wilf! and bless you, Lauren, for your reaction. Was welling up myself as soon as Bernard was on screen. I was beginning to think we wouldn't see him... 😭 The Toymaker will probably have the Meep as an ally.

Thank you, Lauren. Ever since another Doctor Who set at the edge of the universe, Planet Of Evil, had made me a Whovian when I was a kid, I appreciated how the Whoniverse could make horrors into a particularly watchable adventure. Wild Blue Yonder greatly refreshes that much and it makes me wish even more that Russell could have ran Jodie's era. He could have found a better explanation for Jo's Doctor.

I love how fourteen is more affectionate than the other doctors, especially after thirteen and twelve barely let themselves be affectionate even if they felt that way

Well, crikey! Witnessin' Wilfred (played by Bernard Cribbins), it truly gave me a jolly good time, it did! Had me eye's all misty😭, just like yours, mixin' merriment with a touch of tearful wistfulness, realizin' this be the final occasion we'll be seein' him in Doctor Who. By Jove! And let's not overlook, I'm a genuine aficionado of any picture he graces, be it them Carry On flicks or that Doctor Who cinematic spectacle. A thoroughly splendid reaction my lady😁!

Here's to hoping they fix the whole "mavity" thing before the third special ends. I suppose they could keep it going as a running joke throughout the upcoming season, but I think that would get old pretty fast. Just my opinion.

I liked this episode & I thought you could really see the extra $$ poured into the effects. I also agree with you about the lack of connection between the 13th Doctor and her companions, that was truly strange.

To be honest, The Star Beast was a step down from the three specials we got in 2022, in my opinion. This episode blew those three out of the water.

It was more a slight step up, not a amazing episode but it was far better than anything Chibnall ever write himself.

@@Brogan_Balfour_Crescent well, I thoroughly enjoyed most of the Chibnall era, so I was more easily let down by the Star Beast since I actually enjoyed seasons 12 and 13. We don't talk about season 11, though. That season wasn't it. And Orphan 55 sucked.

13th doctor felt weird because none of them even wondered about who the Doctor is until either end of season 12 or somewhere in season 13. And the "Doctor" pushing every single one of them even in the end. The companions go away not having the slightest idea who the Doctor is. At all.

This reminded me of the episode midnight, except this time both doctor and Donna are in the episdoe
@cloudsparrow7729

so that was kind of Midnight with Disney money. I don't think it added anything. There's are issues over diversity etc with anything historical, real or fictional, so I had no problem with Isaac Newton being the wrong colour, but I got really worked up about the apple being the wrong colour

The Problem with the 13th Era was it was a bunch of activists posting as writers and wagging their fingers at us lowly commoners from their ivory tower in London and Jodie and the 13th doctor suffered cause quiet frankly the 13th doctor was a bitch, she was cold, you look at her actions and they are visious and I'm not just talking about her foes but Graham confessing his fears about the cancer returning, now that, now that was, that was worse than the 6th doctor chocking out Peri the 6th doctor had a reason, it was a regeneration trauma event she was just a cold cow to Graham.

Whoa, hold 'em up gym shoes!! Week 2 of WHAT??? I gotta check my DVR!! I don't have either a week 1 or week 2 of ANY Doctor Who recorded or set to record. And I check the DVR schedule every night. Is it named something other than "Doctor Who"? My DVR won't pick it up if it has any extra curriculars in the title.

why cast newton black, imagine the backlash if martin king or rosa park cast as white, dona looked like she didnt want to be there half the time theta sigma looked all spaced out like he was on something and was there a lack of funding or did they just not care with the poor cgi best thing about this was seeing wilf again
