So technically, the 10th, 11th, and 12th Doctors also met the Reapers. If you consider that canon, then 15 has even more reason to not summon them again.

@@ThomasPeters2002 that's real. As it happens, I'm an adoptive father. My wife and I have gone to great lengths to help our kids maintain a connection to the past in the best way they can. It's complicated but, we hope, worth it. Speaking of the episode, I think this is definitely foreshadowing. The Doctor explains what would happen because we'll probably see exactly that happening and then they'll have to deal with the consequences.

At first I thought Ruby is Susan's daughter, but too many clues are pointing to River Song and the Pond era. And maybe it is just my imagination but Ruby is like Amy Pond at the first few episodes.

I think people are frustrated that a lot of the baggage is gone from the doctor. But I think that’s good let’s build some new emotional baggage. The whole point of the split with tenant as I saw it was that he will deal with the ramifications of their past while he can move on. And hopefully in his moving on new problems and things will happen that will organically lead to amazing stories that delve into his character again

All those titles from Gallifrey he went into throughout the episode were likely people he knew, he wasn't just giving examples, but likely mentioning the late people of his kind, like when we refer back to someone who passed. But I don't understand why The Doctor went into revealing his name to Ruby and her Mother right away before the scan at the end was complete (Unless he figured it out before The TARDIS finished scanning) but he was so hesitant to reveal his name to Companions he had for longer and closer friends than Ruby (Such as Donna or Clara) which is why I think Ruby has more importance later on, or it's just a weird decision.

This is a *healed* Doctor. Essentially, 14 is resting with Donna, recovering from everything that’s happened to him, and now 15 has a relatively clean bill of mental health. Forget his name, remember how long it took to tell prior companions about the time war? And then how long he stalled before telling them the outcome of that war?

@@randomrazr It's a bit messy, The Doctor watched Gallifrey burn against the Daleks in the Time War (John Hurt) but later, with other incarnations froze it in a single point in time to save them from the Daleks (Mainly Matt Smith), but has been able to revisit the ruins of Gallifrey with The Master (Jodie Whittaker) and from my knowledge that's what's left of Gallifrey until the next story involving it comes along

Nothing is worth chancing altering destiny or changing one's past of curiosity trying to say hello to someone from your past. The effect could cause painful repercussions across time and space. Curiosity this may already have happened it seems in the way you are watching that event on Ruby Rd there may be other tardis on the other side of the church out of shot just behind the church. If theories are saying that a doctor is there also, but is it not possible it's someone else who travels in a tardis which is possibly the Rani or Romania, or is The Master ( Missy) just a thought if the doctor can bio-regeneration so can Missy or any Gallifrian. And are the Gallifrians truly gone with the fact of bio-regeneration it possible they've survived the Cybermen ordeal in some bizarre regeneration process similar to the doctor's new bio-regeneration process? In fact is possible this process is the only time the doctor has regenerated this way the fourth doctor before him is the third but there is a missing regeneration between the second and the third doctor one unseen regeneration process did say the Gallifrian's interfere with more than what is going on to separate one into two as a failsafe process the third doctor would go on while other would do some missions for Gallifrey. Of course later the third eventually regenerates into a fourth doctor. The second eventually vaded from reality, but is that true or did he regenerate too? Mysterious figures in the Whoinverse ( DoctorDona and Bio matter Regeneration Crisis and Bio-regeneration, Missy and River Song and Romania and Susan Foreman and A Doctor formerly called Ruth who may be Ruby's adopted Nan? And what about Jenny)

I believe that's a 9 not a 0. It says she is 19 years +3 hours old. It's a little fuzzy so it's hard tot tell but I believe the actress and the character are supposed to be the same age.

Earlier in the episode, it mysteriously snows in the middle of a spaceship- just like the snow on her birthday. The Doctor is scanning her to make sure she's really human- which she appears to be, so there is something deeper going on.

I think her mom is Rose, the outfit the hair, and the carefree personality. Plus, it's a coincidence that Ruby was born literally one week before Rose meets the Doctor, it would explain why the 15th Doctor would be interested in who the hooted figure was, and why there's no record of Ruby's mom or Dad. And it would tie in with this being "Season 1"
