Doctor Zhivago is a 1965 epic historical romance film directed by David Lean with a screenplay by Robert Bolt, based on the 1957 novel by Boris Pasternak. Incredible how Hollywood transformed a swarty Egyptian Arab actor with close cropped curly hair into a Russian man. The movie made zhivago a more sympathetic character then in the book.

One of my husbands and my first dates. Seeing this movie... it was well done, emotional. I truly dusliked Julie Christies character......she was in the overthrow... he, Dr.Z was overtaken w.her. I thought poorly of him as well. Destroyed a marriage and children. So.. overall i didn't care for the movie.
