Hey friends!👋 In this video, I discuss how much money Junior/MBBS doctors make in different jobs in different sectors in India. I have had four different jobs in four sectors, so I'll be using my own example, telling you how much I got paid in these different sectors. I also discuss the job offers I had, which I didn't take up, just to give you an idea of how being in a certain sector determines Doctors' pay.
In case you didn't know, MBBS is the primary medical degree in most of the Commonwealth countries, and is equivalent to the US M.D degree. M.D degree in India, however, is a post-graduate qualification equivalent to the US Residency.
TIMESTAMPS:

Hey friends!👋🏼 Talking about salaries and stuff is still quite a taboo subject among most medical professionals. But, hopefully this video helps people to know what they can expect once they finish their medical degree and what sort of job opportunities they’ll have. 🤔 If you’re a NEET aspirant and you’re getting into the field of medicine to “make money”, it’s a pretty bad decision. If you pour in your energy into starting and running a business for 5.5+ years, you’ll probably make 10X more🤑 Heck, if you start a KZbin channel and upload fairly regularly for 5+ years you can probably make even more!🤯 But, this profession offers unparalleled job satisfaction, being part of people’s lives in a way no one else can AND has probably the best job stability in the world and I wouldn’t swap my job with anyone else’s😁 So, if you want to make money, don’t even consider this. If you want to get into medicine for the love of it, it’s probably the best thing ever. And you’ll always make ENOUGH money, so don’t worry about that 😀

@deepakmt92
@deepakmt92 3 жыл бұрын
@@crazyninja2954 Nope. It doesn't matter. Except maybe, AIIMS, JIPMER and all, MBBS from any college in India holds the same value. No matter how much marks you get, how many attempts you take, which university, MBBS has the same value. But, during internship, it's better to do it in a very busy hospital / institution as that is the year when we learn to actually do the works of a Doctor. If not doing, atleast learning 'Doctor work' from others. We have the option to change internship place, after passing final year, depending on the rules of our college and NMC. Job opportunities of any MBBS graduate remains the same. Nobody looks at the mark or college when looking for MBBS graduates. They only look if you are good in the job. India only has around 100 doctors per 1 lakh population. Government Doctor job depends on availability or PSC exams.

In this way, his minimum earning in a month is 300x60x30 = 5,40,000. Although a few number of doctors is available whose fees is 300...

Well , first of all welcome to this noble profession. Alot of misconception that people have is that you have to study long hours daily while you are in medical school. That is completely wrong because it is humanly not possible to study 8-10 hours daily in medical school. You will either end up depressed or you will burn out completelly. Understand that medical school will be the best time of your life. So while you study it is also important to evlove as a person. . Dedicate a good 2-3 hours FOCUSED ( meaning no phones , no youtube ) atleast. Then give your self a weekend off . work out and you will do fine

Let's be honest. Doctors should be paid a lot, like a lot. Think about it this way. It is common practice ( in many countries in Europe, especially Balkan countries, to go to the doctor and leave some money, gifts, etc. My mom had cancer ( over 10 years ago and still cancer free, thank God) and she told me horror stories about the oncologists literally asking for money to treat patients better or treat them at all. That applies to nurses too. My godmother had a brain tumor and she had to pay 10 euros every day just so she could be changed. She often had seizures and fell out of the bed, peed herself, she was given 4 months to live, after she was misdiagnosed with epilepsy. I told her it doesn't sound like epilepsy from the beginning ( she had a seizure and she didn't remember anything for a bit, she was like on autopilot immediately after it), she had a hard time talking and remembering words and a decline in her vision. I told her that that sounds like a tumor. So she was treated for epilepsy, then she was transferred to a bigger hospital, where they didn't investigate this, just kept giving her the treatment. 3 months into the treatment, she is getting worse, so they do another scan and her tumor was the size of a golf ball. Rapindly growing and clear margins. They deemed her inoperable and told her she had 4 months to live. Now I begged her to go to someone else, since the first time she was misdiagnosed. I was living in the capital and had found the phone number of one of the best neurosurgeons in the country. She refused back then. When she heard that she had for months to live, she decided to stay there, announced it to the family, etc. 4 months go by and she was still very much alive. Yup. I asked her one more time to have someone else look at her scans. I spoke to someone, who took her in an ambulance to another city, where I found a surgeon and begged him to look at her scans. He accepted, met her in the morning, took one look at the scans and was apalled. Apalled that medical professionals could have done a better job, sooner. He informed my godmother that she will have deficits, unfortunately and because the margins are no longer clear, he cannot remove the entire tumor. He saw all the scans and told her that 4 months before, he could have removed it without a trace. She was in sugery 2 hours later, she was left with a speech deficit, as well as paralysis on the left side. Due to the paralysis, she is accident prone and broke her ribs and twice her arm. She fell down the stairs. She sometimes doesn't remember what certain objects are called, but she is still alive. The doctors who held her for 4 months, took a lot of money from her, the nurses too. My point is doctors and nurses should be paid enough that they don't have to take anything from patients, that they can survive and then some, that they can afford a vacation, home, children, etc. They deserve it. They have studied for years and years, then they study and learn some more during their entire life. New medical procedures, regulations and rules, appear almost daily. They are under constant pressure, people having expectations and hopes from them. They sacrifice a lot for other people, so they deserve a good pay. I would say, somewhere over 10000 euros a month would be reasonable for what doctors do, 10000 being the lowest pay, because there is a hierarchy in medicine too. Surgeons can make a lot more than that.

The worst thing about doing mbbs in india is that you need to write the respective countries exam to practice medicine if you're looking outside India. In india if you do mbbs with merit seat then yeah its ok but if its through management you'll never get the money spent back.
