I also have Autism/adhd/bipolar??(still not sure with bipolar but diagnosed nonetheless). I think by just seeeing it [Marijuana] for what it is : A chemical, a drug, etc. I'll label it medication for myself since it improves my life, others might find it to be an impetus towards self bombardment. Haha but as I type this I'm thinking, it's their lives, and who am I to tell them striving for pleasure to be their life purpose is any worse than someone wanting to be a musician... IN MY OPINION. please notice the word opinion ppl so please don't devour me lol 😆.

I have stage four cancer. I use cannabis to control the pain. It help me retain my appetite and has help far more the the oxytocin, fentanyl or any other drug that kills the majority of people everyday. I can not agree with the professors statements but I can say for people who are dying from cancer cannabis gives a person a better quality of life until you meet your end. I don't like the other drugs the professor indulges in and I don't agree with drug use at all but cannabis should be available to cancer patients.

I smoke pot every day in the netherlands where it is legal to buy in a shop.Sometimes i go for a job abroad to singapore(you can get death penalty for using drugs in singapore) i work in singapore for months without smoking weed. When i come back to the netherlands i start smoking again. It seems the money i can earn in singapore is more important for me then the weed. So it is psychologically addictive lol.

+byron tronson It is an addictive drug but from your personal anecdotal experience you proved to your self that the drug isn't the problem. now someone who has had childhood trauma with recent deaths in the family and an extremely stressful low paying job with a bunch of bills to pay may try weed and get out of hand with it. Think of it this way if you will, 1 million people will get a corvette fresh of the parking lot with zero discrepancies, 90% of those people will take it for a spin bring it home with no problems at all but 10% of the people will take the car and drive it too fast and crash it. Do we blame the car or the person who was driving it? the same is with drugs most people will use them with no problem at all and then a select few will use them and become addicted.

It's not a matter of him being right or me being right. It's a matter of me going meta and realizing that what this whole debate is about is about him defending his own personal biases his ego and me defending my personal biases and my ego. And all that's happening here is we're just clashing our biases together without any kind of higher awareness and that's like a light bulb going up. This is a earth-shattering revelation when you realize this then you go meta on the whole debate and you realize ah i see this is not going to be resolved at the level of defeating his ideas or him defeating my ideas and it doesn't matter who wins this debate because this is all just an ego game. And then i can look inside of myself and i can realize oh yeah i can actually use mindfulness to penetrate into my own body become aware of my ego at work inside of me generating this ideology and then defending it and being closed-minded about it andrefusing to look at the situation from a higher perspective. I can actually feel my body getting hotter. I can feel myself getting angry or defensive when he's making a good point. I can also start to notice the various manipulative tricks that his ego is using against me in this debate and then i can notice myself using those tricks against him and i can notice the double standards that i have and i can notice my own biases and i can notice his biases and i can notice the fact that the only reason i'm arguing with him is because i have a certain survival agenda that i'm trying to defend with my ego and i can notice that he's doing the same thing and when all of that is noticed the entire game of this debate collapses. That would be going meta. Can you see how powerful that is can you see how liberating that is. You see this is the kind of higher dimensional move that needs to be done to solve this particular war on drugs problem.

Any drug can be a gateway drug, in the sense that based on the person's decision making... never blame a drug, it always starts with the person making that decision. Some people take weed but decide they want to try bigger drugs, that's just how it is. But not everyone who tries weed then turns into a druggy. I've tried heroine once but it didn't make me get onto other drugs as i decided to not do that, nd instead take care of myself. Drugs can sometimes be responsible for peoples actions though ngl but not necessarily peoples decisions. That's the difference people should know. (It does also depend on what your circumstances are in your life, who you associate with, and what your mental health is like) these also play a big part in drug taking.

Weed can be gateway if it’s laced with heavier drugs like cocaine. Or if you smoke it recreationally a lot, you get a high tolerance for it over time, so you either want to smoke bigger amounts of it OR you want to move on to something that makes you feel higher than weed can. And yes i know this bc i quit smoking weed bc it wasn’t doing anything for me and my dads side has addictive personalities and that’s a hereditary trait, so i don’t want to explore the possibilities of me getting addicted to something harsher all bc I wanna feel higher than i did when i did smoke. Technically, it’s not a gateway drug IF you don’t have an addictive personality. For ppl who do have that personality tho, it can be so i think it’s irresponsible to say it isn’t just bc it’s not demonized anymore and used for medical conditions at times.

Some people don’t know they have an addictive personality until they start taking substances, and then they can’t stop! Truly it’s all playing Russian roulette. I really think anyone can get addicted to anything even if you don’t have addictive personality. Even the pharmacist told me with some medication‘s if you take them long enough even if you take a minute amount you can get addicted to it no matter who you are!

Weed is not a gateway drug nor is it addictive. What is the gateway drug to weed then? That should be illegal as well if that's your argument. But the only problem is that I love it so much, that I do not want to quit smoking it. The reason I smoke is simple, to relax, that's it plain and simple. Now why should I go to jail ( which I have ) for something that helps me relax, I don't know and will never understand this.

Karl Logan Everything is addictive, it just depends on if its a physical or psychological addiction, and with that being said Marijuana is NOT a physical addiction where your body becomes dependent on it. Nicotine, caffeine, and Alcohol ARE physical addictions meaning I could potential DIE going through withdrawals from these substances. Video games, sex, fast food eating, masturbating, and such are all psychological addictions If its interfering with your work, social life, and life habits then you have a problem and need to see a doctor.

I think it's important for people to realize that there isn't anything in pot or alcohol that would drive someone to want to try other drugs. It has to do with the individual. A lot of people start smoking weed in high school and either keep doing it and don't do other drugs or maybe they give it up as they get older while other people start smoking weed in high school and they end up addicted to alcohol or heroin or whatever. So when you think of that it doesn't make sense to blame the substance itself it's obviously about the individual.

Yet the satanists get even while don't see own ripples. Revenge was worst ripple effect than weed deal is cool end up drug dealers. Cause I gave away sin from what I think was revenge. They good enough give revenge like never wrong

Who in the heck is listening to this guy Dr Cary Hart saying that heroin made him a better person are you serious he is lucky they didn't take his license to practice medicine 🤔

Lol maybe add in context to that! The heroin he took was pharmaceutical grade and not the BS you find on the street, which really isn't true heroin. They haven't taken his license away as everything he has done is legal and sometimes part of his research.

He is not a medical doctor, he is much better than that when it comes to talking about drugs, he does actual academic research on them

As an ex user of both weed and hard drugs like acid, cocaine and meth, I can tell you that weed is indeed a gateway drug. I don't know any users of hard drugs that didn't smoke weed first. Not only that, but I also know many users who started with weed, moved on to hard drugs, gave up the hard drugs but still smoke weed. These people wouldn't dream of giving up the weed, but they will give up meth or heroin... People are so in love with this drug that they will defend it with their last breath. You have to understand though, that the people who defend it so vigorously ARE smokers!
