Notice they never had any trouble taking down a running perp once they caught up to them, perps didn't even try back then, maybe height n weigh restrictions still existed on the force. Most street thugs were average height in the show n just ended up giving up once they met the likes of a pissed of Logan at the door, etc.. may have been a matter of expedience as the show was about detective work and grit, not street chases to disco themes. Wolf was trying to come up with something different, more about the detectives minds, and team work w the d.a , than the physical confrontation between perp and cop.. Apprehensions were normally short and well planned, to make time for deeper plot angles, a more cerebral cop show..Wolf was on to something for sure.. As the years went on, the detectives got smaller, and it became more character driven, inevitably, like CSI , it became less about the stories, and the method..It's why in my humble opinion the first seasons were the best, once Robinette flipped, and we lost Jill, n Stone , was still good, but lost some grit, and appeal..

Federal funding of Planned Parenthood as well as child-support laws makes childrearing into a community issue. The community assists and the community has responsibility for what happens to both mother and child, if the father leaves he has to pay child support. If the potential mother cant handle being a mother yet, tax payer money goes to an abortion. But then where is the communities choice in this? Let’s just accept a truth here: Abortions WILL NEVER END, because if a woman doesn’t want to be pregnant then by hell or high water she will find a way to not be pregnant. Here are some ideas: maternity leave, more money put into public education, more money into our infrastructure, universal healthcare, RAISING WAGES and maybe some other ideas that I haven’t thought of, ones that actually help people and to allow more people to actually want to keep their kids! All of these will help reduce abortions because they target the primary reasons for abortions: the burden that pregnancy puts on a woman, physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, etc. (P.S. I see putting unwanted children up for adoption just as bad or even worse than terminating a pregnancy)

Ok, just to be absolutely clear here. God may not approve of abortion but he also gave humans the right to free will. This means that these women have the right to choose for themselves whether or not they will keep their babies.
@afriendlypoltergeist40733 жыл бұрын
actually, god (more like the bible) is pretty clear on the fact that womans life is more important than the fetuses, and even has a recipe for a home made abortion soup in case the woman cheats. (some ashes mixed with stuff i think)

And this episode is now so ....Sad because of the overturning of Roe V Wade
@crucisnh Жыл бұрын
Roe v Wade was overturned because it was bad law have little to do with abortions. There never was any right to an abortion in the Constitution. However Roe was a clear violation of the 10th Amendment, i.e. the grounds on which Roe was overturned. The solution for pro-choicers is simple. Pass a federal law that doesn't violate the 10th Amendment, or pass a new amendment to the Constitution that provides a clear right to abortion that doesn't rely on legal smoke and mirrors like Roe did.

An adults life is more valuable than a unborn or a child as most adults have established themselves in society with bills, job, financial, education, marriage etc. A baby/child are (money, time, many other resources) takers to the age of 18, 19 years old.

Although this is a show, the message that is spread by the murderers and their co-conspirators is one that IS spread by some, and the issue is still no nearer fixed than when the episode first aired, and I actually know people who would try to justify the actions of the murderers. @@aeternusgaming8050 Stop... if an abortion is necessary to save the mother's life, I'm sure most people would agree to save the mother over the child in order to prevent two deaths. The issue most of us have is this talk about abortion being a "human right" when it inherently involves terminating a developing human life that already has a unique DNA sequence, can only be done on biological women, and the father has no say in the matter. It isn't a "human right" and I'm sick of people calling it that. At *best* it is a horrible reality that is sometimes necessary to save a life... defending it as anything else should be condemned.

So people should be allowed to be hedons? That's what they are if they're not taking responsibility. Outside of a form of SA, no one is forcing them to do the deed. So why do it? Because they want to feel good. They want to feel pleasure and such. Or, they just naively want to explore it without thinking of the consequences. The true act of selfishness is doing something just because it feels good. The self is top priority. Self service. If you don't want to be responsible for the life of another, don't do the deed. It's the most guaranteed way to not have a child. If you decide that you just want to feel pleasure and feel happy just for the sake of that feeling, that's shallow and empty. You will never be satiated. A life of meaninglessness. Your cup will be very empty.
