Thank you Steven Moffat for writing such a brilliant role of River Song. Alex Kingstong is the most warm generous actress I've come across and I can't wait to have a one on one video chat with her on Saturday. Can't find The Ruby's Curse at any book stores near me though I can easily buy it on eBook but as anybook nerd knows sometimes you want the actual hardcover book.

Well, it’s read by Alex Kingston. Need I say more? P.S. Big Finish has a story where River meets Missy. It’s a hoot. It’s part of River’s series. Hope this helps.

@@joanwerthman4116 Oh I'm getting the audiobook too beause, how could I not? Fortunately I will be able to have a short video chat with Alex on Saturday and I wanted to show the physical book. Unfortunately Amazon won't release it until some time in June. I watched 1.5 season of Doctor Who on late summer nights as a kid but only recently in lockdown life I binged watched NuWho, Torchwood, and SJA in two months. I know of the RIver Song audiobooks and trust that they are on my list as well as finding a way to watch the classic series.

It would be great if a true Who enthusiast took over the series. But first I'd like to hear how she would fix the damage to the canon caused by the Timeless Child story. As a longtime Whovian myself, I want to see that mess gone, but in a way that doesn't rock the inner logic of the series' story. Maybe she could have the Twelfth Doctor wake up on the TARDIS, turn to Nardol and say "I just had a crazy dream..." Or maybe not. Which is why everyone should be glad that I am not the showrunner....

Peter Capaldi's "Hello, Sweetie" is also my favourite. Best way to bring the story around... We're still missing that River and Missy adventure, though. Imagine if, instead of partnering with Clara in The Wizard's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar, Missy partnered with River? It would've messed up with the surprise of the new face, but it would've been FANTASTIC.

I wonder how River song managed to get the liquors in Capaldi’s TARDIS in the first place, since it was the first time she met that version of him. My best guess would be that she snuck it in while he was the 11th doctor because he had the same TARDIS during the latter half of Series 7, and it is implied she had some adventures with him after Angels take Manhattan, so maybe she was still with him when he changed the console room, and that’s when she did it.

Characters like River and Jack - their stories are OVER. Bringing them back is/was a horrible idea. You can't just rely on other writers' characters for your own doctor who. Chibnall needs to get a grip and be more original - I honestly don't see how bringing River back will benefit the series. I mainly stopped watching due to a lack of originality in the writing - Chibnall is just bland as a writer.
