Dr. Margus, I wonder if you could comment on the Greek behind Revelation 17:10. The KJV says "And there are seven kings", whereas most modern bibles say "And they are seven kings", referring to the seven mountains of verse nine. By making this simple change in the English text they deflect attention from the seven mountains being Rome (the traditional view) to seven mysterious kings. Many thanks.

The Bible evolved. If you will believe that this creation -- including man -- evolved into being, you will believe anything. Also this highlights the risk of dependence on experts and scholars, as per your example, J B Peterson.
