Found this video because I’m at a point in my life where I want to really dig deep into why I do the things that I do and why I want the things that I think I want if that makes any sense. I’ve always wanted to be super famous to prove everyone wrong type of thing which I don’t think is a pure intention for me personally anyhow this is a really good video that gives insight on what it’s really like to be “on top”

You don’t set out to be rich or famous, what you set out to do is to be helpful❤️ Mr. Rogers- Very nice vid. Well done.

i think we have to separate fame from perverted fame. For example, a boxer that dreams to be known as one of the great ones is totally natural, i believe, as long as that fame is obtained through his boxing skills, and not his behaviour. Same for a musician, who would not like to be recognized (especially from other musicians) for your talent. Then there is the bullshit fame, the Paris hiltons and Kim kardashians who became famous for basically being famous. There's no value attached to it, and it's totally immoral, in a way. Sane for a singer who is only known for his good looks, that's just unhealty, for both sides, the "fans" and the famous person. Then there are cases of fame gone berserk, like Michael jackson , elvis , those guys. That's obviously way too much attention given to a person, and the fact that it drives people nuts it's in large way to blame on the people, who act like animals whenever they see them on the streets... If THAT is what young people are looking for, we are in trouble.

A person should be famous for his/her skill and talent, and his/her contribution to society. I have no problem with that fame

I feel bad for Michael Jackson, he’s experienced the worst and best of fame damn near his whole life. And no matter how many people he had around him he still felt lonely…

Both Gaga and Madonna are fine wines. Are they topping the charts? No. But they're still making music, shows and lots of money. When you're at your 60s like Madonna and you still performing in front of live audiences, living of your music and everyone is still talking shit about yourself like they did your entire career and you still having fun, you got you family and friends, what the fuck else could you want? I'd be extremely satisfied.

The perception shared is very subjectively biased, there are many celebrities who no one thinks can replace them because they were truly iconic & unique with their energy.. it’s only when they die that their fame ends but even then it lives on.
