Defo, fashion industry is completely fucked, but it's full of elites and elites love drugs and 'gritty lifestyles' because they tend not to get enjoyment from day to day pleasures, so that is why it's romanticised. I live in London and have hung around extremely wealthy people, a lot of them involved with fashion and art and they were mostly like that, lost, addicted to drugs (and glamourising them) and obsessed with superficiality. Not necessarily bad people, just out of touch due to being born into an untypical (but privileged) lifestyle.

Except like smoking, culture has made lots of 'glamorous' associations with heroin. I went deep into 90s youth culture, and was savvy enough to draw the line with heroin. Velvet Underground and Nico's track on the Warhol BANANA album was part of it - at other end of the spectrum the film Trainspotting signalled the presence of heroin on the British drug scence, and several of my friends/peers got into trouble with it. I bought the Face magazine in 1990 with 'Summer of Love' emblazoned on the front cover and a photo of a topless Kate Moss with an Indian headress on. I was 13 and she was 16. A lot of us were influenced before we were wise enough to understand what was going on. The ultra-slim figure had a grip on me for a while which was narrow and distorted perspective on women, and obviously heroin chic and superskinny models were a dodgy path for the fashion and music industry to go down. Kurt Cobain, Brett Anderson, Pete Docherty, Amy Winehouse, Kate Moss, and many others - key people and those influenced by this flirtation with heroin chic, which claimed more than a few lives.

How CK hasn't been disgraced and cancelled yet is unbelievable. He had the same disgusting comments to say about Brooke Shields when she did the Calvin jeans campaign at just 15 (!) years old. Not only was the ads incredibly suggestive, Calvin also enthused how "sexy" she was. A child. And it just goes to show how wicked the fashion industry is because a lot of people in the industry, even victims, still adore him and other's like him. It's gaslighting at its finest of these men to say "it's about the fashion, its art, there's nothing wrong with this", and models and people without that power needing to nod and agree to keep their jobs and reputation, when in reality we all know what it feeds into.

Age of consent in Europe is 18 in the USA is 21 so the people behind the industry the very parents are the ones who has constantly sold us all of us out,this is not an isolated case,this is decades worth of influence trying to corrupt societies the moral and ethical code absent,structurally those with access and the tools at hand,has been systematically supporting deplorability,for example,did you know,that child marriages in the USA is still legal? Everytime there is an initiative to take course of action members of the republican party object in ways has been concealed for decades,did you know? That child labor and slavery was legal till 1920 and it's still supported predominantly in red states,if majority would care to examine the history of deplorability,there would be more power to the people to resist the evil temptation of corruption.

You are so many that insist this or that celeb is naturally thin, and then some time or years later said celeb/s share with the public that they struggled with an eating disorder. Taylor Swift is a perfect example of how people would argue with other people in commentary sections, and insited Taylor was naturally thin and looked the way she did due to a fast metabolism. Years later Taylor herself shared in her documentary that she had an eating disorder and had struggled with her self-image and starved herself to feel ok about herself. This is the reason I wish to remind you to never claim anything about those whom are strangers to you! Enough of this behavior, since it’s not serving anyone...especially the one whom things are projected at!

I very much doubt Kate Moss was ever a "heroin chic". Known as "Cocaine Kate". Coke yes. Smack no. No worries.

Ah, btw I first noticed her in a magazine (CK ad) during a road trip in the USA with my now wife about 1991 or 1992 (?). Thought she was cool. And have ever since. I am not american.

i doubt she was. many teens are naturally skinny, then her hectic schedule, stress, probably little time to eat, smoking, and the occasional drug

It is strange that they want women with a boyish figure (it was called That and still is) to be a super model. Heroin chic is basically skin covering your bones it is natural beauty as he called it. The models do drugs to keep their figure that was and eat nothing with nutritional value it is all salad stuff that. The lay food out on photo shoots but watch what you eat and tell you you have had enough after a couple of bites. I really don’t understand why people think that a figure like this is natural it is far from that. This is the reason that eating disorders became fashionable rather than an illness. The fashion industry is full of men selling women clothing and a body that is unobtainable but kids don’t realise that when they are looking up to these women. The fashion industry, the music industry and also acting just shows vulnerable young people being abused and pulled and pushed around for more powerful people in the industry to get their rocks of and feel good about themselves. The fact that he asks what is romantic love useful for and she answers diamonds is such a sad answer and our children are looking up to these people. I am not singling Kate Miss out it is just this doc is about her these industries are full of kids just like her being taken advantage of. It is starting to unravel Epstins Island has come to light, Rolf Harris, Jimmy Savel and recently Diddy so the DARK STUFF IS COMING INTO THE LIGHT. The truth always comes out in the end the problem is how many kids lives have been ruined. I also think that the people that are being prosecuted are fall guts for the higher up people that are being protected sad but true.

Her boyfriend young photographer Mario Testino photographed her naked or topless to the point where she asked Can you shoot me with clothes on? He exploited her due to their relationship. His overdub says Oh we were just having fun! Not sure why he was not named early on in this? They launched eachother, i guess.

Listening to him saying they were both having fun the whole time contrasts with comments I remember reading from her. Not the same experience

Am I the only one who loved this era? She's just naturally thin, get over it already. Love Kate Moss, she's uber gorgeous & so amazing. She's so down to earth, how can't you love her?! Calvin Klein (one of my all-time favorite designers) He always has his hand on the pulse of everything. Calvin Klein ROCKS!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

God I miss this time, when there was more mystery around cool stars, vs social media-ed and memed and analysed to death. I remember how exciting and cool Kate was when she emerged. And the talk about too skinny is super annoying honestly. Most of the Western world seem to be overweight / obese and take out their envy on those of us who aren't. Really tired of how anyone in public feels entitled to comment on weight when you're not a fattie.

Beautiful impressive supermodel with unique wild primitive beauty who reflected passion and youth and she was also classical and elegant as well. She's been born a natural model,she just had it I don't understand why she messed with drugs or dated troublesome guys but I guess she had a rebel attitude even if she was looking so cute and innocent back then She was really amazing back then and she stills awesome
@RaHeadD104 ай бұрын
She messed with bad boys precisely for the reasons you stated. Passion and youthful exuberance. She's not going to be dating squares or a wet flannel is she aha. I agree though, classical and elegant. She also has something very antiquity about her.

9:41 comparing being a model to being an astronaut is crazy haha. Aside from the obvious scientific contribution, that models completely lack (Bar a few models who do things outside of modelling), astronauts are at optimal health and nutrition as calculated by personal trainers; not underweight, under-eating, and malnourished as a model may be.

i am build the same as Kate. When i was young people jugde me and said i must have an eating disorder. Now when i am older, being a few years younger then Kate, people even call you a junkie sometimes. I am skinny, i can not over eat, i do not understand how people can eat until feeling sick. I have the weight i supposed to have and i am healthy. Being older these comments dont hurt me so much anymore as back then. Some people are just dumb and a lot are yealous. love and let live
