Well, she nailed it ! It reminds me my make up in the 90s. I’m French but used to live in NYC, East Village in the early 90s, I had that typical look that I would call Drew Barrymoresque 😄 : Blonde, short hair, very fine brows that I plugged regularly (I’m paying the price today…) but in terms of make up I remember wearing Revlon colourstay foundation in Buff, Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in black, some white eye shadow, a tiny tiny bit of blush with a little round pot from Bourjois, setting powder from Bourjois too and the one essential thing you could not miss the Clinique lip liner in Mahogany that I was using as a lipstick. The result needed to be mat…no glow on the face and barely no blush : mat, mat, mat nothing dewy …and voilà !

when celebrities say they use sunscreen religiously everyday and then proceed to use the minimal amount, not even the amount suggested, but like a drop, lol, and "pat" it in, lol, nah girl, it's about 2 finger lengths worth of product and smooth it in until it's mostly absorbed. But 90s makeup is pretty close to what we wore in high school (I graduated in 98), except we never wore blush, lol, like almost never, everything was monotone and usually brown, though sometimes we'd go vampy with plums and berries and burgundy

Exactly, sunscreen looks and feels just fine when you wear a pea sized amount. The reason most of us hate it, and it ruins our day, is because we use it correctly 😭

I love Gabbriette!! I have been following her on IG for years and she did a lot of cool cooking videos. I hope she is the next Martha Stewart. But a moody goth Martha Stewart! She doesn’t need makeup. She is the real deal supermodel quality. I think the Marilyn Monroe makeup artist she is referring to is Erin Parsons because she is an intense collector of MM and does historical looks on her channel. Not sure why she is promoting discontinued MAC and mixing her own colors instead of calling MAC and doing another collab before this video. I am wondering if her publicist is freaking out over her not picking current products / brands. Or if these are in the works with MAC now.
