Proper food aye that. I live in Norwich now but I always crave an oatcake when I'm away! I agree with most comments on here and I reckon most are the same here and there ... Bacon, cheese, wrapped, off you go

Love the guy. Very sweet and unpretentious. I never heard of oat cakes. I'd love to go there just to try them and say hello to the people who work there.

North Staffordshire oat cakes are just the same as Yorkshire havercakes or clapper bread as it's also known
@ajrwilde143 жыл бұрын
Not really, clap bread was crisp, these are batter. Plus these contain wheat.

Technically ya right but it's not. it's call an oatcake because they use oat and wheat flour.
@jacobowen38494 жыл бұрын
Absolutely ridiculous, to call these oatcakes is maniacally far fetched! I am from a great family line of Scottish farmers, and we know what true oat cakes look like. This is an abomination of culture and this food should be abolished. As far as I'm concerned, these are no more than BTEC pancakes! Good day to you all.

@wildpickle30044 жыл бұрын
Good day Jacob! haha! These were made way before the industrial revolution as oats were what were grown locally... So these are actually culturally part of this area! They may differ to your version. Have you actually tried them?! These get shipped all over the world to Stokies who left as they miss them as they are so tasty!
@jimmyjump62954 жыл бұрын
It's just a different kind of oatcake. I'm Scottish lived in Stoke and they are pretty tasty and filling. I like Scottish oatcakes for different reasons and expect a different experience and taste.
