Doddie Weir passes away (1970 - 2022) (UK) - ITV & BBC News - 26th November 2022

Tributes paid to rugby hero hailed 'a force of nature'. The former Scotland international had been diagnosed with motor neurone disease six years ago. He died on the 26th and his birthday was last July.

George Wilson "Doddie" Weir OBE was a Scottish rugby union player who played as a lock. He made 61 international appearances for the Scotland national team and represented the British & Irish Lions. The Doddie Weir Cup is named after him.
