To get the challenger to go up the ramp without an issue, just take a piece of 2×4 and place it just before the ramp.it will lift the challenger enough to clear the ramp. Hope this helps, otherwise great video man.

Nice video! I need to replace the side skirts on my Challenger. The ones on there now started to warp and I live in Michigan and I noticed there's some rust going on under the driver's side skirt now so I'm kind of hesitant to remove them if for some reason there's some body damage down there.
@KCars2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And ya I’ve heard they can cause rust by trapping dirt and moisture so that’s one downside of having side skirts
@aragureghian7244 жыл бұрын
So I think I have to stop watching your videos! Smile ☺... Love the rock guards and the instructions. And now I like the side skirts! Anything to keep the car cleaner. They get dirt you write but it should only be the undersplash [?]. Nice job and video. You got a good series going. I didn't know about the running lights either.
@KCars4 жыл бұрын
ara gureghian they get dirty really easily when it rains because all the water and dirt falls directly onto the side skirts but they protect rocks and dirt from flying up from the road. Thanks for watching glad I can help!

On the front and rear inserts (brackets), does the face need to be painted black whereas one will not see the anodized aluminum? As a side note, why do you believe that a large insert (bracket) is not positioned in the rear?
@KCars2 жыл бұрын
No I didn’t paint the brackets, they’re not visible unless you look underneath. The larger brackets fit into the holes that are in the side skirt, they will not fit anywhere else other than where they are designed to go
@SuperSynoptic2 жыл бұрын
@@KCars And what are those two holes about 1/8" in the side skirts at 5:44 to 5:51 in video? Yes I know the brackets are for the designated points, but why not a large bracket in the rear as the front?
@KCars2 жыл бұрын
@Synoptic 12 I’m actually not sure what those two holes are for. The larger brackets are designed to be used as jack points and I believe the car already has a jack point in the rear as part of the frame of the vehicle so I’d guess that’s why they didn’t include a larger bracket in the rear and only in the front, since I don’t think the front of the car has a stock jack point and the rear does
@SuperSynoptic2 жыл бұрын
@@KCars Thanks very much. When you speak of the jack points (front & rear), namely the rear jack point (stock) is that for certain years? I have a 2013. You purchased the ZL1 Addons side skirts and you did not question those holes? I just received the ZL1 Addons today and did not notice those holes.
@KCars2 жыл бұрын
It might be different if you have a 2013, I’m not really familiar with the pre 2015 ones. I’m not sure what the holes are for, I don’t believe the instructions mentioned anything about them. I think they are probably different for you since they have them listed separately on the website for your year
@jerichorivera40004 жыл бұрын
Now my question is.. how are you able to do an oil change and lift the car because of that side skirt installed.now you just cover the pinch weld or what if you want to rotate your tire or remove tire .
@KCars4 жыл бұрын
There are still other jack points that aren’t covered
@subarus2024 жыл бұрын
ZL1 says on the website that the front ones are larger so you can use them as jack pads.

I’ve been debating on doing this, hard to tell how it looks. Maybe once you have it clean and outside I’ll make my decision. Great job man. Do you know if the hellcat splitter will fit on our cars?
@KCars5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, it definitely looks good but it catches a lot of dirt and it’s hard to keep it clean. And I’m not too sure about the hellcat splitter

How do you jack up the car using the pinch welds when the side skirts are installed?
@KCars2 жыл бұрын
The mounting brackets are designed to be used as jack points
@SuperSynoptic2 жыл бұрын
@@KCars You mean the outermost two 'front and back'?
@KCars2 жыл бұрын
I believe so. It might only be the front ones that are designed to be used as jack points. Whichever mounting bracket is larger than the others is the one that is designed as a jack point
@SuperSynoptic2 жыл бұрын
@@KCars Are not the (2) farthermost outer both the same size as opposed to the inner clips? Thanks very much. By the way nice wheels.
@KCars2 жыл бұрын
I don’t remember from memory, I’d have to look at it. On the website it says the front ones are designed as jack points. If the rear ones are the same as the front then I’d assume that they are also jack points. Thanks!

Where can I find those brackets?

If you’re looking for just the brackets then you can email ZL1 addons customer service and they can do a custom order for you
