What happens if you put the cam actuators in the wrong place? I have a 2016 dodge grand caravan. Changed rocker arms and lifters on bank 1 (right) put everything back together and all lined up... cranks but won't turn over to completely start...

Anyone can help me I have a leak exactly where that one sensor with the star bolt is at, right where he is taking off that 10 & 13 mm it’s called the cam shaft position sensor, could it be worn cover gaskets at the bottom or is it that sensor only that is faulty?

I Had an oil filter housing leak the seals were completely gone it was making the oil came out from there because of the way the oil was swinging. It made a mess on the intake manifold also the outside of transmission was cover in oil. We replaced it and it was all good.

If you have no trouble codes, the sensor itself is fine. Reason for oil leak is most often a faulty PCV valve, if it's too restrictive the valve cover seals can blowout. Recommended repair is inspection of the PCV hose and replacement of the PCV valve and cam sensor seal. This can be done without removal of the valve cover.

I have no codes no engine light but Thanks guys turns out I all needed was to replace some gasket seals around those areas did it when replacing the spark plugs got a whole set for everything and problem solved!

@@Itsfishy666 Glad it's all fixed, gaskets in the valve cover can fail suddenly but typically it's a symptom of a restricted PCV system. Good practice to replace PCV valves at 60,000 mile intervals.

Thanks for the video. It was extremely helpful. I did run into some issues removing the valve covers. First, they wouldn't come off due to guide pins on the outside of covers. They had a cover on the pins that we couldn't get off, so we broke the cover, worked beautifully. We also had to carefully pry the covers off because of the pins and the RTV silicone. Also, there was a tube labeled dealer does it say dealer use only that was in the way so we just loosened the bracket to move it a little.

Unfortunately, I cannot help you. I am running into the same issue. There are some what appears to be plastic retainer pins that are not showed in the video.

@@timmyturner9858 yes, we simply broke the keepers on the alignment guides or pins if you will. The valve cover did bolt back up properly. I later found out through my sister's mechanic that there actually is a tool to remove those devices.
