If power steering fails on your Dodge Charger and you are having hard time turning the steering wheel and if your Charger is equipped with electronic power steering you first want to check all the fuses. Power steering fuses are located in the fuse box under the front hood:
FUSE #3: Electric Power Steering (50A)
FUSE #19: Electric Power Steering (50A)
FUSE #37: Electric Power Steering Module (10A)

The 10 amp PS fuse is different on 2011-2014 chargers. It is the last slot on the right.

Hi were is the fuse for the OB2 scanner to be able to scan nd have light nd signal on scaner bc scanner pluged in ob2 port do not light up in chrger srt8 2014!!!

I have replaced the steering wheel pump with new one also with used rack pinion and still i feel the steering wheel heavy , I don’t have the blue fuses in my car , in addition when I start driving the car when it’s still little worm the steering is normal but after the car temperature rise up the steering becomes heavy again I wish to know where is the issue in addition when i turn the steering i see the inner lights blinking

Did you ever get this fixed and what was your issue I have a 2020 electric power steering rack and mine is binding and it is a little better when it's warmer I'm going to check it out today and try to lubricate it up what was your issue and what was your solution

I have a 2015 dodge charger rt hemmi and power stering off appears on the dashboard with an exclamation point, the steering wheel is hard, it cannot be turned anywhere, what can I do?

Hi if the fuses are good then you will have to connect higher end obd2 scanner and try getting the codes from EPS module and follow up on those. It could be something simple or it could point towards electric power steering pump failure. Can't really help more without looking at the car

Hello hard to say without looking at the vehicle. I've seen couple of times EHPS (electro hydraulic power steering pump) failing on Chargers. I would start by scanning the vehicle for any codes in the power steering module and check the oil

It's hard to tell without looking at the vehicle, but from experience both chargers and challengers have issues with electric rack n pinions

@@QuiteAlright it would happen at times when I had the car on for a while but when I had it off for a little the steering wheel would go back to normal. One day it got hard and said the power steering system assist is off and it stays hard from there. I’m missing a couple of fuses so I’m guessing that’s the issue any ideas?

@@mra1zawa110 Try putting all the missing fuses in. If that doesn't fix your problem, most likely problem is with the rack n pinion or wiring

I have a 2012 dodge charger and had the same issue. It's electric steering and replaced my rack and pinion. It's a lot better but I still have e a vibration sensation when driving. Idk what that could be. Issues after issues with this car.

Try checking the fuse shown in the video first. If fuse is good you will have to scan for the codes and follow up on that. Electric rack and pinion can give lots of headaches especially on a Charger.

How do you know if it’s the fuse?

Once you pull it out you will have to check if it is burnt. You will see if there is a visible gap in the wire. If the fuse is good than start looking towards rack n pinion, its known to cause issues on this vehicles
