I feel sorry for anyone who actually bought one of those. On another note TK wins again...😂😅😂, your info on the large Chrysler crossover popped up on Motorauthority.

@TKsGarage They need you as their ally and PR. If it wasn't for you and other KZbinrs giving signs of change, I think most would have lost interest and given up on anything good coming to CDJR. I'm curious on your thoughts of which platform they will use for this Chrysler crossover, WL (because it's reskinning a proven platform that already has hybrid capability built in) or try to use STLA-L (where everything on it has bricked so far)??

Last new vehicle I bought was a 1988 Dodge Dakota Sport, 4x4 5 speed manual in 1988. All others were used and leased 1 as a business expense.

GET RID OF THIS GOD DAMN MONSTROSITY OF A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRING OUT THE ICE’s!!!!!!!!!
@jonathancolbert666613 күн бұрын
And risk putting themselves in an even bigger financial mess?? No way. What they need to do is slash the prices. Now they do need to put the peddle to the floor on the ICEs though. No more additional EVs until they get a good strong diversified ICE/Hybrid portfolio again and start making bank like they used too. Then if they want to try their hand at EVs again, they can experiment and perfect them without any pressure to rush.

Is it depreciation if it was never worth what they want for it?😂

Any leasee is responsible for maintenance and repairs. Any extended warranty might help, but do you trust the dealers to do a good job with a car that the factory engineers can't figure out?
@familydad324113 күн бұрын
Are you really saying that when leasing a vehicle, you're responsible for repairs?
@rogerrussell954412 күн бұрын
@@familydad3241 Depends on how the lease is written and what extended warranty is offered. But generally speaking yes. I had an extended warranty on my last leased vehicle and I had to pay up front then argue with the warranty company. I didn't always win, which is why it was my last lease.
@familydad324112 күн бұрын
@@rogerrussell9544 99% of leases fall under the manufacture 3/36 warranty. Explain how the consumer is responsible for repairs. I've never once heard of someone purchasing an extended warranty on a lease.

I bought a preowned 2022 F-150 king ranch in November of 2024. The sticekr was right at $80k new and I bought it for $49k. It depreciated $30k in 2 years. Unless you just have to buy a brand new vehicle, it makes more sense to buy it used. The only vehicle I bought brand new was my special order 2022 Challenger Scat Pack widebody with a manual.

Keep the challenger and pass it down your family :)

A residual like that will make it very difficult to lease, unless there’s a big capital cost reduction and near zero interest rate. Doubt that will happen.

The number 1 mistake they did was add in that fake engine sound. Keep it an ev and leave it to be what it is. If people want it it’ll sell but basically this was doa before it hit the dealers lot. When I see an 82k price I immediately reverse the numbers 😂 the reliability is the next issue.

Unless you can write off a lease to your business, it's nothing but an expensive rental car. And buy one? Not a chance. I always tell people to buy what you can afford to pay off in 3 years. That pretty much rules out EV vehicles. So be it. At least a Toyota Corrola will still get you around.

EVs are computers on wheels. They are tech, just like a smart phone or any other tech device. We are in a new era for transportation and we are in a huge disruption. All the old standards are no longer viable. Lets face it, transportation as we know it is over. Car valuations as we know them are over. Smart money does not buy a new car now. When robotaxis take over the value of owning a car is a whole new game. If you cant afford to eat a big piece of the new car price, dont buy. Simple. Not just Stellantis, its all manufacturers. This is the Smartphone killing Candy Bar and flip phones. A new world. Cars are tech now. The depreciation curve as we know it is over. Live with it. Let the car rental and leasing companies sort it out but do not buy a new privately owned car in the next 5 years. You will regret it.

For a new EV that’s reviewing as bad as it is, the value is gonna drive off a cliff faster than a new Nissan…

This sounds great! In 3 years I should be able to get an R/T that still drives with 36,000 miles for $20,000 or less. I'll be trading my daily driver Chevy Bolt on that!
