What brand led light is it? I just picked up a 20” ni-light and plan to mount it on the bumper like you did. Did the brackets come with yours or did you fab them up yourself?

was the relay required for the installation or am i able to just connect to the battery
@613Builds4 жыл бұрын
im pretty sure the relay is part of the included harness. i wired mine directly to the battery as per instructions, but i'm sure you could wire it to a switched ignition source if you wanted to. i also did a 50" LED bar install on a trailblazer and it came with a remote control and wireless kit. i was able to remotely turn the light bar on from 200 ft away. i think the instructions tell you to go directly to the battery because some people work with the ignition off and also the wireless kits only work when they have power so i believe going directly to the battery source or constant live is best in that regard. The one and only time i would advise against direct wiring would be on vehicles that don't get driven everyday or at least once per week

MrJohn613 Budget Builds did you use the leadtops kit for the wireless wiring
@613Builds4 жыл бұрын
@@addicted49 the 50" bar kit i used on the TrailBlazer came included with a wireless add-on. it was QuakeWorld brand but just generic china stuff rebranded. the wireless kit was very simple and easy, it just plugged right into the existing lightbar harness, and it had several different strobes as well

I wired two in series to the battery with a rocker switch in the cab the relay isn’t necessary nor is an inline fuse. But it is highly recommended. I recommend using heat shrink and then bigger gauge heat shrink to wrap The wires.
