That engine Hydrolocked I’d bet $200 I could put a new head gasket and have that engine in my car running just fine

12:30 mmmm milkshake. i got over 140k on mine, bought with 6 miles on it, but it's a manual. still runs well, no leaks. i baby this car. it has a new clutch and flywheel , stage 1 clutchmasters, short shifter, intake , exhaust, few other things. hoping the timing chain lasts alot longer if i baby it.

Sounds like you keep it well maintained. These 2.0l are supposed to be the most reliable of all the Darts. Thank you for the feedback.

whats the first sensor name? the one is inside of a heater cover

I have 88k miles on this exact engine right now. Did the owner not maintain it properly? How did so much coolant get into the engine? Did they notice anything wrong and just keep driving it? Wouldn't a failure like this at least throw a check engine light?!

I think the coolant hose fitting failed and somehow they never noticed the leak or did not get it fixed right away. Either way it was a little too late when they did , these engines are unforgiving once they get too hot. Thanks for the feedback.

the bearing surfaces didn't look bad, a bit of cleaning, some cylinder honing , new rings and bearings and it should be good for another 100k 😁

Yup 315000km and still going strong!!! Change oil often is what I do!!! Mine was not made on a Friday!!!😂😂😂😂

Good job looks like it would have to be honed and re sleeved maybe?

Yes it could. I believe with the cylinder head rebuilt and a rebuild kit the engine is most likely okay. Thanks for watching.
