I love you man. I paid diagnostics fees to 2 dealerships and a goodyear and none of them could resolve this issue. I was so frustrated, grannies in camry’s where taking me off the line. After watching this video I replaced all 4 coil packs and now my ride is darting like lightning off the line. Thank you so much for the info!

My dart has the same issue I believe. when I'm at a red light, it takes me forever to reach 25mph, and everyone is passing me. Also, with this issue, did you notice a high pitch whining sound once you reach 30mph?? It's not super loud, but the noise is a faint high pitch whining sound. I've been worries it's my transmission. Please help!!

Update..just replaced all 4 coils on my 13' 1.4 turbo $50 Amazon and boom ! It fixed my problem. It would only choke up under heavy acceleration so didn't think this would fix but it did ! Happy happy.

I watched this video. Pulled all my coils and inspected each of them. I found that one coil spring was too short and was making good contact with the spark plug. I simply pulled on the spring, and tested the spark plug in the boot for tension. I further adjusted the spring in the coil boot until there was firm pressure placed on the spark plug. Reinstalled the coil and my misfire magically went away.

It's either the Diverter Valve, the Boost Solenoid, or the turbo. The latter two are super common to go out on the 13s. I'd start left to right though, as they go from least to most expensive to replace.

It could be the dipolar combustion control module too. Its right next to the gas chamber valve

Mines doing the same thing. My dad changed my coil pack, and it was running great for a bit but then started doing the same exact thing again. Jerky hesitation when accelerating, rough idle. I have to drive it on my manual setting most of the time to even get it to run, and sometimes loses power in the manual setting as well. Still at a loss of what could be the issue.

My 2.0 dart would have a lot of lag on the pedal and got worse over time. It turns out the fuel sock was bad and i couldn't figure a way to take it off the pump without breaking it .so i soaked it in a chemical and agitated it for 20 mins blew air in it hooked it up except the main line but a temp line to a jerry can to flush the pump took about 20 key turns to get it clear then hooked the main line up im now getting 5.6L per 100kms i was at 7.6L per 100kms before ,and now the sock looks new and no i do not use the gas that goes in the jerry can after there was alot of dirt

Do you have any videos on the valve gasket replacement? My cylinder 4 still reads as a misfire and the spark plug has oil all over it.

@ultimatums1 have you replaced the plugs recently? A major downfall of the dart is that the plugs only last for about 30,000 miles.

Same as mine. I have the Rallye trim. I've had this problem for some time now. It's not like it was when we bought it. We get poor acceleration,and bad gas mileage. Do you think if I replaced thrse that it would help? There's no check enginebl8ght on either,so if there's a problem with these coils,it doesn't tell me. I was considering this very thing last year,to replace all the coils,but wasn't sure if that was the issue. Some say yes and some say no. If it works,don't mess with it.

hey hope you can help , mine when starting it up it does something similar on park if i floor the gas its revs up normally but when the RPM is dropping going back to normal it loses power and the car ether almost turns off or completely , like something is wrong with the compression i change the oil pressure sensor but no luck , any thoughts ?

They have problems for chewing into the camshaft lobes, among other parts breaking in the head of the engine… the 2013 is especially bad… cool little cars but just not a great power plant unfortunately.

I bought the Maxfire ignition coils because my car misfires and to find out when removing the engine cover, somebody had already installed the same coils. Was a bit upset cause I spent money on coils I don’t need, I replaced the old maxfire coils anyway , and yet the car still misfires under hard acceleration. So I don’t know what to do now.

I put Maxfires in my 13 dart too, I had to switch back to oem parts. They wouldn't work for me . Hope this helps

this should show up as engine misfire code like 304 for cylinder 4. Then just move coils to see if it moves then you know its a coil issue.

Check your tire pressure asap that’s the reason it’s probably around 15-20

4 rpms dang. I didnt know they could even run that low thats crazy. Mine generally idles between 800 to 900 rpms. Thats like 796 to 896 rpms higher than yours and thats just at idle! Ive never seen mine get much under 800rpms. I would take your car in asap

If there is oil you must change the valve cover gaskets.

If automatic it might be having a rev limiter for safety....especially if it only happens when parked
