I have yet to find a single video about the EGR Temp Sensor replacement for a Ram 1500 4.7 Ecoboost on any channel at all. Wish you had done for it but always seems to be for a 5.7 on most of the videos. Back to trying to figure it out and to narrow down the part since all the parts listings come up with water temp instead of EGR temp. This is the most difficult engine to find misc parts and all videos for.

When you are having fuel filling issues call, I usually start by diagnosing the evap vapor vent solonoid. Does it hold vacuum? Or is the hose from the vent solonoid to ambient clogged? Those would be my 1st questions to answer.

That truck is notorious for the vapor canister purge valve going bad causing a hard start. But you usually see a purge valve code. The heater circuit code would make me lean tword a bad oxygen sensor but since you have a hard start and a rich code, you might have another problem. How is the regular maintenance, like spark plugs?

Do you know as to why I have no signal in the evap and my egr is only at .8% I have ran my scan tool and no numbers show. It won't let me pass emissions. And they keep telling me to do a drive cycle and I have done that already and Im thinking maybe something is unplugged or a bad ground or a fuse. I was wondering if you had a better idea. I have replaced the EGR and nothing works. Do you know if there is a fuse somewhere that could have gone bad for it??

Hi thanks for this information liked it I have a 07 dodge Ram 1500 4.7 flex fuel I’m going to change all those valves mentioned. My current problem is when I top the tank driving and stopping at a traffic or stop sign it would stall and turn off. I’ve changed already that canister valve at the end (white) now codes for gas cap or purge valve that’s next with egr and PVC valve trying to resolve this vacuum leak problem thanks your video helped I’m going to subscribe and wait for a response tho not you but others I’ve subscribed to never respond back but ok thanks

Do you have a check engine light on? If you think it is from pressure not relieving on the evap system while you pump gas, I would start by replacing the vapor vent solonoid.

Thanks for the Video. I have a 2002 4.7L Dakota RWD 216,000 miles and my Air Idle censor was clogged up earlier and I replaced it. I am not sure what made it gum up with black charcoal like substance. Does this have anything to do with the charcoal canister or vent lines that may be decomposing? Thanks again for the videos! I'm going crazy trying to figure out what's wrong with my 07 dodge dakota 4.7 v8 flex. My problem is the rpms wont climb pass 2 but it will climb in speed slowly. Only major work it has be done was the valve seals the problem didn't occur maybe about 2/3 months after the job. The thing is no codes are popping other than o2. I did a transmission oil change no change also went to a transmission shop said the gear are kicking in. Did have o2 codes which I have replaced no change. I have replace the radiator because it was leaking fluid at the fittings. Coolant was added and brupt. When I did this felt like that's when the problem started. Have taken a look at the emission locations which do look fine. Did change out the started for new once seen old went bad. Coils and spark plugs seem fine could use new sparks but I've seen worse. No rough idle or stales what so ever. So I'm stumped trying to figure this out.

Also forgot to mention it’s intermittent but mostly will not rev. Thinking of double checking air flow maybe somewhere there’s air leak. Also the fuel injectors unless those have code that my obd should pick up.

👋🏼 2004 Ram 1500 4.7 Codes i have: P0442 P0456 P0440 Ive replaced gas cap, fuel pump since it was leaking, tons of sensors including Evap vapor purge solenoid. Ive been chasing these codes prior to these new parts. Could it be the Fuel leak detection pump located near evap canister at rear end of truck? Cant figure it out ! Thanks !!

Thanks for the video. I'm chasing a P0404 and a C2100 code on an '09 Dodge Ram 4.7 after a head gasket job. I'm changing the EGR valve to fix the first one (Partsgeek over Amazon for this one since Amazon sent me a Standard Motor Products with the wrong connector going to the wiring harness), but IDK what the C2100 could be for. Any ideas?

Hopefully you got that egr figured out. 🤞🤞. My absolute favorite place to get parts from online is rock Auto. But they do not have an affiliate program, so I do not provide links for them. But I always recommend them as much as I can. Now that c2100... that is a ABS code. Did you check fuses? Especially fuse 17, I think, in the under hood fuse box?

@mccdball on the fuse box, does it say if 17 is abs. I could be wrong on the number. Check any fuse within the abs system. If it's not a fuse, you might want to see if you could unplug the abs pump and plug it back in. That c2100 is defined as 'Battery voltage low'. According to alldata, it can be no power supplied to the ABS module, a bad ground on the abs module, or a bad ABS module. If the fuses are good, the battery is good, and the alternator is charging properly... you might need to have some one see if the abs module/pump is getting power and test it. Is the ABS light illuminated on the dash?

@@ScottiesHobbies ABS is not illuminated on the dash. I figured that might have been the case (about the numbering). I checked the fuses and they're all good. I've been texting a buddy who says it might be a bad ground. That's what I was going to try checking next.

Your engine coolant temp is normal? Your o2 could be bad 🤞, or the wiring could be bad. Or the truck is running rich. How are you on spark plugs, air filter? The basics first. If it was my truck and I knew the engine was maintained properly, I don't hear any problems like a vac leak or exhaust leak before the o2.. I'd hope it's a faulty o2. But it could be one of those other option.
