I used a 1 1/2 pvc pipe over the bearing and tapped it into place. An air hammer will destroy that bearing

It’s a ok video, it needs more info on your drive line. Let people know you can get them out of Phase and you don’t want that. Also when you install your carrier bushing need to use a better tool ( use the correct size pipe from your hardware store, so your tapping the race) instead of chiseling it on. Anyone trying to attempt this will need to research more on this job.

hey buddy, how often do you replace the bearing support? seems like that failing point wasn't the bearing but the rubber around

Probably pretty often, those anchor parts use a thinner bracket and super soft rubber.

@@bighoss1592 they are indeed very thin i used to replace mine once a year but now I haven't in 3, mi truck is stick shift , what has worked for me is that i put a urethane layer on both sides to get it thicker and it has held petty good

Year late, but on my 04 3500 it was 1.5" on the Inside Diameter of the bearing. Get a tape measure when you buy your part, the first one they showed me at AutoZone had a ID of 1.375" which was way too small
