Most of the dakotas already have an electric fan plug for the secondary fan normally used in durangos with rear a/c. Needless to say on my R/T i found the secondary fan from a durango mounted it up and plugged it right in and bam it works perfectly blows HARD and is 100% factory controlled. The plug is right in the center of the harness at the bottom of the core support.

Can you possibly show a video of where to find it so it's easier for me? I've been looking for that plug for awhile now

Be extra sure to check the wire going to fan after it has ran awhile, i had to go to a beefier wire on mine and a larger relay, wire that came with relay was cheap/too thin and got super hot!

Awesome Jon《☆》Nice job Brother🤓👍🏾I'm probably going to do a manual switch on mine rather than the thermal switch but I'll be using the same relay :*: Greetings from🦎Florida🤳my friend🤓🗣🔊☮✌👍🏾

If you relocate that battery to the bed behind the cab, it'll free up a lot of room and make the engine bay look a lot better/cleaner

Hey man, love the vids. I'm currently building an 02 crew cab and was wondering if you have a video on the LEDs in your gage cluster? I know the interior is different on my later model truck but im sure the info passes over, you know Dodge lol

What temp will the fan kick on? Stock thermostat opens at 195°F. Is that when the fan should turn on as well?
@Blaydrnnnr3 жыл бұрын
The kit I gor from LMC truck, came with a probe temp sonsor like the one you started with originally. The kit itself was NO WHERE near ready to go in. But, the relays that came with it seem to be rated at specs that should cover the amp draw and voltage. I have it working, seems to be working, ( just did a very long idle waiting to see if the water temp stayed put, and checking wires for heating up). My problem is, the sensor turns the fans on after the rad gets to about 100°. Good. BUT... if you just drive it to the store lets say, and come back out, the rad us STILL hot, so the fans come on as soon as you hit the key, putting a severe draw on the system before you even start up. I think I might have to find a sensor with a delay?

So your switching power goes to rad switch back to relay switch
