Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupé ACR Hardcore Edition w/ Borla Exhaust - Amazing Sounds!

This time I've recorded this yellow with black stripes Dodge Viper ACR Hardcore Edition at the Nurburgring during the Grand Turismo Events 2013. This is a special version of the Dodge Viper ACR STR-10, it's called the 'Hardcore Edition', it has no radio, floor carpets and other parts what you don't need to drive this car. The exhaust fitted on this Viper is a Borla exhaust system.

I know this question is almost a decade old, but this was my 'biggest problem' in 2020. As German I always wanted a Challenger but over the time I thought 'All or nothing!' - 2 seats, manual, RWD, pure. I looked for C6 ZR1s for some time and then a Viper Coupé crossed my way - the Corvette was instantly erased from my mind! The Corvette is a great car - no question. It is fast, comfortable, delivered state of the art technologies (electronic dampers, adjustable ESP, personalizable welcome text, electronic keys, etc.). You can tell that GM had Porsche and other Europeans as enemies in mind - materials and build quality are very good compared to other 'sport cars' from that era. And it feels like straight out of CAD program - hard edges, smooth surfaces, fighter like angles, plain body panels ... The Viper on the other hand is downright honest and almost 'natural' - the car looks (compared to the Vette) smaller because all surfaces are endlessy flowing (almost bionically). You have to think about hot rods, wild animals and beautiful girls when you think about the Viper styling ... the Vette feels digital and the Viper natural :-) Everything about the Viper is straight forward and purpose-built - it's all about speed, handling and power. The Viper doesn't care what you think about it - love it or leave it; there is no compromise ... the ZR1 on the other hand tries to seduce you ;-) There is a lot of sence behind the ZR1, but I hated the taillights and the vented wheel arches (you can't look through them) ... every duct, opening or vent at the Viper is visbly functional on the other hand :-) No ESP, no active suspension, cluster straight from the 90s, steel frame, plastic body panels, double wishbone suspension (adjustable camber, toe AND caster on all 4 wheels!), NA-engine, mechanical LSD (4th and 5th Gen), bulletproof transmission. I just have to repeat myself: to me the Viper feels way more honest than any other car and for me that's unbeatable. Plus: The intercoolers of the ZR1 overheat after a few laps and reduce engine power - the Viper doesn't care 😀 Downside: Repairs and looking for Viper parts is hell! Mopar should be ashamed how the treat their heritage! I think GM cares way more about their Vettes and spare parts shouldn't be that hard to find. Conclusion: It isn't always fun (at times it is painful and almost tragic) BUT: I would choose the Viper again without second thoughts! To me it is the BEST sports car ever made and one of the last true muscle cars! There are only few cars in the world that are so honest AND capable!

the biggest engine in the world with 8.4 L for a production car .. should make more than 640 (ACR) 600 (SRT GTS) HP. Some say .. the engine is capable of 800 HP easy thats about 90+ hp per liter .. I think they are saving HPs for the future Vipers.
