I like pitchers that use their fielders and don't feel like they have to strike everyone out.

Too many people are obsessed with getting strikeouts, but strikeouts usually require more effort and can shorten a start.

Yeah. Length generally comes from quick outs. Think Gavin Stone’s CGSO, he was able to do that simple because the White Sox couldn’t hit any of his stuff.

Small pushback on small ball: Shohei of late has smashed quite a few grounders through the right side. If the runner is on 1B, the hole on the right side is bigger than if the runner has been bunted to 2B. BTW, it's funny that when the Dodgers lose, the narrative is they're not intense enough, but when the Dodgers win, the narrative is it's great to see the team playing relaxed...

you need small ball to draw the infield. then you can hits. that's why important, not because you need consistent.

Keep it going, play more small ball against Sean Manea. Keep foot on the gas
