Nobody talks about the genius of Dave Roberts pulling Yama in the 5th and keeping the Padres at bay for the rest of the game with the bullpen, but if S.D had come back and won that game off the bullpen, everyone would be calling for Dave Roberts job so shout out big Dave for making that BOLD decision and risking it all. Dave, you are right. Yamamoto and Darvish were pitching not only for the team of each, but also for their country. I a Japanese had a very complicated mind to watch them split into two teams against each other in the last game of a playoff series. Before the MLB instituted PED testing, they basically did a sample survey of some players and Ortiz popped up as a positive. However, the testing had some legitimacy questions with the testing lab and some perfectly legal supplements would’ve returned a positive result as well. Also unlike A-Rod , he didn't fail a drug test. That said , I do feel Arod should be in the Hall of Fame, including Bonds and Roger Clemens.
