Even though he lost on 2 runs here, he dominated the Dodgers all season, including Ohtani. The only Dodger who had a good BA against him was Tommy Edman and he could not get a hit against Darvish in this series. He threw insanely good games, but Yamamoto and the Dodger bullpen held the Padres to a handful of hits and 0 runs.

He damn near pitched 14 innings in 2 games and gave up 3 runs. That should've been enough to win BOTH games. You just don't see Starters going 7 inning multiple games in a series any more. It's becoming a rare thing to have a guy like Darvish who can do that for ya.

They had the best BP for the first few months of the season, then when all the starters started going to IL, they were overused (out of necessity), got tired, and got hammered. That got straightened out the last over month of the season. Good to see and critical reason why LAD is advancing.

This offseason the Padres lost Hader, Snell, and Soto. You won the season series against the Dodgers, and you took us all the way to game 5. Make no mistake about it: this was an upset Series Win by the Dodgers. They came in injured and unsure about their bats and bullpen, while the Padres were the hottest Team during the second half with Consistent Offense and Pitching. And yet, the Dodgers pulled it off. Baseball is a beautiful sport!

Ohtani set the tone in this series when he hit a 3 run HR to tie in the first game, he did'nt have the greatest series but it was his first, and I would excuse Bobby Witt also it was his first time, meanwhile Judge was a bust as usual.
