Worst pitcher you’ve ever seen in the Majors? It was his MLB debut in a new country, new league, and on top of this the Ohtani mess. Give the guy a break.

Holly cow!! Really Dylan? all those years near baseball and your analysis/take drives you to wonder if Yamamoto is that bad? You only could go as far as thinking he might be injured???. How about he's adapting to a new country with a completely different culture, or to the differences in the ball, or the MLB type of play? Or the pressure (and nervousness that naturally comes with it) for being in a big market team that just paid him 325M?... Are you really this bad?

Yamamoto hasn’t adjusted to the Pitch Com and he must be upset by Mizuhara scandal. The timing they had the meeting wasn’t good for both Ohtani + Yamamoto.

Any "fact" attributed to what anyone says can not be relied on. We have no idea what happened. So... Ippei's statement the he didn't bet on baseball means nothing, and those statements can't be represented as "facts." This is s horrible situation, and it needs to be investigated by accounting and banking specialists ... FBI.

Ohtani is not the type of person who enjoys gambling. The only thing that cannot be denied is that he may have lent money to Mizuhara. Ohtani has been striving to excel in MLB since childhood, and he has put in effort from a young age. There is an incident that shows how much he loves baseball. Even when invited to drinking parties by teammates, Ohtani rarely attends. In Japanese professional baseball, attending drinking parties not only involves enjoying alcohol but often leads to intimate relationships with women, especially since it's considered rude to refuse invitations from older individuals in Japanese culture. However, Ohtani declines these invitations. When refusing, he reportedly said, "Playing well and winning in a game brings me more joy than drinking or spending time with women." That's how much he values baseball, and I don't think he would do anything to hinder his success on the dream stage. However, Mizuhara is like a non-blood-related brother to him. Ohtani's success is not something that should be taken for granted. It is a fact that Mizuhara supported him during difficult times when results were not forthcoming. While there is a possibility that Ohtani helped Mizuhara, he is not the kind of person to do something wrong. MLB is the dream stage for him, and baseball is his life.

@@StephenKane-xg8hdIt's astonishing. Even in Japan, this news is broadcasted every day, but it's unbelievable. Last year in the WBC, Ohtani became like a god in the sports world in Japan. His partner, Mizuhara, was by his side. The fact that Mizuhara had falsified his academic and professional background is something no one can believe. It's like if Robin suddenly betrayed Batman and started selling the Batmobile and Batman's costume at high prices. Frankly, I don't want him to come back to Japan. And I don't want him to live in America either. I wish he'd be sucked into a black hole.

It is just 2 games, ffs! After 50 or 60 games, the Dodgers will be in 1st with a 5 game lead. An 8 game lead by the All-Star break. The division will be wrapped up by the end of August. Dave Roberts has a calming affect on his teams. The playoffs are what matters. They need to at least get to the World Series. Judge this after 80 to 100 games. Not after 2. Relax.
