That sounds good to me. Adames, was pretty damn good last season ,but he like Max is a strikeout machine, and can go cold for long periods.OTOH-we would have some serious pop from both sides of the plate, even better than last season.

@@vernpascal1531Adames OPS with runners in scoring position is insanely good. This should translate well for Adames as a Dodger. Muncy got over 100 RBI’s in 2023 despite batting under .200 in 2023. Muncy reached based 17 consecutive times in the NLCS. Yes he can get very cold like in the WS. Lux doesn’t have a high strike out rate. He comes cheap and the Dodgers do need left handed hitters still. We normally need more right handed batters to balance lefties thrown at Ohtani and Freeman. Something to think about also. Muncy batted well against the Mets because he was playing 1B for Freeman. Muncy and Bellinger historically hit much better when positioned at 1B. Muncy knew he must focus on D at 3B in the WS. Mookie to 2B is just a ploy to fake bait Soto. It doesn’t hurt to give Mookie reps and playing time at 2B. 2B can be platooned by Lux, Betts, and Edman. Prefer to keep Teoscar at LF and have Pages in CF or RF and Edman at the other. This provides 4 right handed bats against an opposing lefty plus Adames at SS and even Miggy or Taylor at 3B. The other combo is have Pages at CF and move Edman to 2B and keep Mookie in RF. Against right handed pitchers during the Reg season, Lux can play 2B. Outman can play CF still. Both Dalton Rushing C and Alex Freeland SS bat left handed.

If the Dodgers sign Willy Adames I doubt they'll re-sign Teoscar unless he comes at a discount(unlikely). They have similar offensive stats last year, both right-handed bat with 30+ HR and strikes out a lot and Adames has a much better glove.

Adames had a low in terms of strikeouts but he needs to do better. If the Dodgers sign him and he can be above average (low strikeout rate), I'd take that.

Adames will hit with an average somewhere around .270-.300 as a Dodger … He will see a lot more fastballs pitches out over the plate with Ohtani Betts Freeman in the mix of him in that lineup !. 🤔

Adames has over 12 FWAR in the past 3 seasons, that’s pretty good. He’s about to turn 30 tho so it looks it’s going to be an overpay to get him. If it costs more than Seager then it’ll be a wtf moment, otherwise he’s a nice pickup. Still want Teo and Treinen back and we need pitching…

I think they're trying to get mookie on 2nd so he doesnt have to run as much as he would on RF. He has had issues with joints so running is not gunna be good. 2nd base shohld be perfect.

Top priorities should be Buehler and Treinen. If they don’t stay get Fried and Tanner. Adames is the most logical position player to sign. 7 man rotation during the regular season should save the bullpen. Glasnow, Ohtani, Buehler, Yamamoto, Gonslin, Sheehan, Miller and eventually May and Kershaw is still the deepest Rotation in Baseball. Stone and Ryan should return next year and you still have wrobleski, Grove and Knack for eventual injuries

It’s really starting to set in that winning a World Series is incredibly difficult! To win back-to-back World Series titles is even more difficult. The team chemistry, or “love” as Mookie put it, has to be almost perfect. I hope these moves only improve that team chemistry. Keep the core guys, bring back the heart and soul (Teo), and sign the hungry guys that want to win so badly that they can taste it.

So…it’s a week after the Parade and I’m still stoked from that championship, still watching Yankee fan reaction vids and it struck me just how much good will the Dodgers had from other fan bases. Ngl It felt good to be seen by many as the good guys, but…now that we won I don’t think that’s going to be the case going forward, depending on who we play. We had a lot of sympathy around baseball for being seen as playoff chokers, on the wrong end of that 2017 bs, and then the 1 title we did win gets an *….so yeah people were happy for us. But now we have 2 titles since 2017, same as the Astros, so if we’re playoff chokers then so are they…and if we have a * title then lol so do they. Looking forward to more titles tho, and if we’re the Bad guys so be it…

Adames is the absolute definition of a bottom feeder. Guy is awful in the playoffs striking out nearly half the time. He chases everything and that is exactly the sort of guy the Dodgers don’t give big contracts to, it’s the reason why they didn’t go 10 years with Trea Turner.

Adames is a known postseason choker, but I guess he's gotta be at least better than Rojas so I am not too upset about it. DMAC is great but quite frankly he doesn't have good eyes for players. It's kind of wild, but Rojas (3.4) actually had a better WAR (3.1) than Willy Adames this year. Not going to say he is replicating that, but I think the additional WAR over using Rojas or Edman (0.9 in just 37 games) we accumulate from cashing out 25M a year on Willy Adames is marginally inefficient compared to spending that budget elsewhere like outfield where the alternatives inside the org are unsatisfactory with Pages (1.3), Outman (-0.4) if we really are moving Mookie to second. Teoscar + a CF would be great, while we continue to develop Pages at right field.
