The Steam version is regularly on sale and the newer “remasters” don’t offer ANY noticeable improvements over it. Also, if you have the original you can actually run a it through the Dolphin Emulator with some fan made improvements and have it running AND looking better than the remasters. So this works on all versions of sword dancer right? Also why not use photon? Predictable tell when it’s gonna hit him, always staggers etc. feels like a good option.

Photon would probably work well. I just wasn't a high enough level to use it when farming him. Also, it's a pretty pricey spell early and you'll start running out of TP pretty quickly. This does work on all versions off the Sword dancer but for the Second and Third you can get Collette the Item Getter EX compound Skill that gives her 100% steal rate (as long as the attack hits.) You probably won't be wanting for many lvl 3 ex gems by this stage of the game though.

So, do I just really do things out of order? Because that wasn't the first boss on the north route for me. I cleared the Asgard story before that one. It's still harder than the main route, but a little less difficult.

@@Auron3991 I actually haven’t tried doing Asgard before the Tower Of Mana when triggering the Hima scene. You can do the events post Ossa Trail in a variety of different ways. But going over land to Hima instead of Sea to Palmacosta is definitely out of order.

Most of this video is through the Steam Version with an unofficial fix that smooths out the framerate to a steady 30FPS. The footage at 17:10 is from the GC version through Dolphin with fan mods and that runs at 60FPS. It’s recording on high quality settings through Nvidia, and upscaled to 4K with Shutter Encoder before uploading to stop KZbin from butchering the quality.

@@lucas142ful I’m afraid this is a limited time kind of thing. He does re-appear much further in the game but by then you will have access to Collette’s Item Getter (100% steal) and should have plenty of lv. 3 Exgems anyway. This farm does take quite a long time so it’s probably not worth it to reload. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaqafIOQet6khrc will give you an idea what you are in for. You can get a lvl 3 gem JUST before you ride the dragons to the Tower Of Salvation by visiting Dirk (Lloyds dad) before you go.

@@lucas142ful He'll show up again in the Gaorachhi Forest (where you run into Regal.) Don't fight him until you get the Rheiards. You get a LvL 4 Ex gem from the fight right before you get them. Give it to Collete and set it to STat Boost. Make sure she also has a Lvl 1,2 and 3 gem and set them to Sharp-Eyed, Magical and Lucky. This gives her Item Getter which sets her steal rate to 100%. It will be FAR less painful!

Well you still need to kill Kvar before the no Death's title unlocks so you can ONLY steal INFINITE LV 3 EX Gems OFF of Sword Dancer 1 AFTER that title unlocks if you did NOT transfer titles over to a NG+ run. I'll NEVER do that HARD route even on a 1st run due to BOTH the NO death's AND KEEP Wooden sword on Lloyd until Kilia at Parmacosta is killed on the HARD route that means killing even Kvar WITH the wooden sword still equipped.

About that Genis/Sheena are completely CRAP against Kvar even ON NORMAL mode under 10x exp I'll still use Raine/Kratos against him but for the no death's title you actually need to beat the Tower of Mana first visit BOSS without any death's from the START of the game so its only worth stealing the lv 3 EX gems off of this 1st Sword Dancer AFTER the No death's title unlocks. But before the Tower of Mana 1st visit boss CAN be fought you still need NO death's against Kvar.

@@wanderkusanagi5313 They are correct. In this guide I am using the unofficial fix which steadies the frame rate and puts outlines on the models. However it is STILL capped at 30FPS. The link on the previous reply is the GCN version at 60FPS.

This exploit is definitely not worth it. it's far more worth it to just beat the game new game + it with ex-skills and ex-gems bought as grade and have collet with the ex combo of item getter. furthermore, while cooking is phenomenal in general it is far more worth the resources to give Raine the EX gem lvl 2. and personal which makes healing spells cost only 1TP. so if one were to do this exploit. It would be more cost-effective to use rain for healing as opposed to using food. though honestly none of this really matters, once you get Zelos in Tethala who's personal ability allows you to get infinite items.

Not everyone has a spare 40+ hours to get through the game. I find this exploit especially useful if you're playing the game again but no longer have your old saves. Raine's Personal ability is phenomenal but that only helps with HP, not TP. Genis's Personal Plus Rice or Miso dishes is amazing. You'll also find a LOT of the items needed for cooking can be found in many of the dungeons. Using Fruit Cocktail in Lethan Gorge = Infinite TP since you can just pick infinite fruits from the trees there! And of course, A luck Based Colette (Especially with a Blue Sephire which you can acquire shortly after reaching Teth'ala by using Rune Bottles on a Reverse Doll) will have you swimming in items, criting and triggering her ???? arte like it's nobodies business. You can certainly combine these with the methods you mentioned for an even smoother experience.

@@DodgeThisBam I prefer luck base Zelos with the rune exploit,+ regal personal. this along with item finder and item getter in yimir forest, that is true power haha. I think you make about 330,000 Gald per few minutes. If you go in with this knowledge you don't need to have the life up + spirit up combo sense you can make the herbs red to max out HP and TP. that means you can dedicate your titles to other stats as well. It's still a very interesting and well made video. I played the game cube version and the PC version multi times, and I didn't know you could exploit the first sword dancer like that.

@@MaxCode-mx8sw Oh there’s no competing with that! It’s just early vs late game. You can also have Collette’s 100% steal rate by Sword Dancer 2 and steal from him instead.

@@DodgeThisBam yes however that battle you only get the one shot, and you can't infinitely exploit it like the first one. great find. now if there was a way to do that with mithos to get EX lvl Max that would be busted haha.
