Daniel O’Reilly, also known as Dapper Laughs is a comedian known for his edgy and controversial jokes.
His astronomic rise to fame through social media, quickly turned sour after being cancelled by mainstream media. Daniel talks about the highs and lows of his journey battling sobriety and how he has turned his life around.

Dodge, if you could get the paratrooper Lee Clegg on that would be a belting interview! He is the chap that got jailed for shooting a car full of joy riding teens in Northern Ireland. Fascinating story I’m sure!

Tell me about it man. I recently went to a friend's funeral which hit me so hard. When my friend was alive we'd joke about if one of us died we would do the worm down the funeral hall isle then pop up at the coffin. Give it a pat then moon walk back. Anyways I've done 2 Gs and a bottle of whiskey (his favourite drink) before the service and I was fucked. Tried to do the worm but failed so miserably that I tripped at the coffin and fell into the coffin knocking it to the ground I then got filled in good and proper by his dad and uncle. I'm still in a sling now because they dislocated my elbow. Why did I have to get so fucked!!! I'm so ashamed and have to live with that forever! 16 days clean and sober and I've never felt better!!

It's all a party until it's not. 4 years sober myself. Stood by my other half through thick n thin, he's 9 months clean after 3 months in rehab. Vodka, wine 3g a night for years, then burnt out delirium tremors, hallucinations, seizures from withdrawal and near death. Anyone out there that keeps telling themselves they ain't never doing it again n then the next day it's a different story, stop it n stop it NOW before you can't. My other half pulled through, turned it around and it almost cost him his life. It's not worth it. glamour is an illusion. Dodge brilliant interview yet again & I've Always loved dapper. So happy to see the U turn. Well done fella. It's not easy at the best of times let alone being in the spotlight. Your misses is a gem and saved your life ❤ (FYI my other half & myself have adhd).

Unbelievable pod lads well done and thank you! Im 12 years into that lifestyle and dapper hit every nail on the head, Ive often questioned if you can be a weekend addict as I have no other explanation for falling into the same trap every weekend, using the same bollocks justifications he describes. The last 3 years I’ve been lost in my own head, to the point that the feeling of being present has totally left my memory, you’ve given me hope there’s a way back, not sure if I can hack this for another year! Thank you LEGENDS❤

I can fully relate to a lot of his stories, talking about drinking and taking it too far whilst ruining special occasions hit home, My Mrs has stood by my but we've spent 6 years on and off I was always paranoid about what she was doing or causing arguments so I could go out with my mates. I'm lucky she's still in my life and I've left the drink and drugs behind, since then we've been a lot more solid and my life has been a lot easier. We had a holiday to ibiza booked and the day before she was seriously not coming and I sat up until 3am sniffing ready to write the holiday off but she then decided to come and I had to go the airport on no sleep feeling scatty as hell...I'm happy to of left that life behind and seeing how happy she is now makes my world

Been a fan and consistent follower of dans since the vine days from the age of like 20 and I never believed half the shit the media spread and back then you’d have people who would think you (me) was a c*nt because I shared and interacted with dans content and supported him as comedian but now them same people are the ones jumping on his content now and the various things he’s created. Funny old word ey. Seeing dans journey with his old man (his dad was such a funny fucker with his skits too) and then Shelly and the kids was the thing that showed people Dan wasn’t what people were saying and it got people to see the dan side of dapper laughs which is fans saw from the very beginning. And I’ll end by saying the M.A.T.E.S platform he’s crested is beyond anything any of the haters or doubters could of imagined or created and all us blokes in that group massively appreciate and are thankful for. 🎉
