Something that pisses me off is watching 9:38 Shigoki having better chase than Shinobi. 22 dmg heavy, can chain from sprint, better range and tracking vs Shinobi's 14 dmg, locked on only, and can't chase shit unless danger close AND delayed. Needs T3 subsidized damage. WHY did they decide to nerf Shinobi's damage, AGAIN? We get it, if he's not D tier dog shit and has any strength at all. comp cries and lists him S tier. In all practical sense, he's really not even good at ganking without comms in a 4 stack. You have to work completely outside the revenge tag system. Blocking one sickle rain, 20 dmg, feeds instant revenge. It's the most revenge feed in the game. Double bash properties on kick are bad DPS for antiganking, and high risk longest recoveries on whiffed kick, and even in a gank, double bash just feeds more revenge when tagged. You can't touch anyone that's tagged. And your base damage sucks. Your highest damage attack is 22 damage now. Confirmed lights are not an asset. They feed more revenge, get rounded down on damage reduction, risk a revenge knockdown, and regular hitstuns off a GB punish are just as an effective gank, actually more effective in terms of more damage with less revenge feed than a sickle rain hitstun. Why do they always make Shinobi look S tier out of context in a vacuum, when he's in all practicaillity been A- at best if not D tier. And of course they ban him from tourneys nobody even watches. Not like they would actually play the hero anyways because he's actually never been allowed to be that good. He already had the worst risk reward in the game and low damage numbers relative to Risk and HP, and they nerfed his damage AGAIN. Out of nowhere and completely uncalled for. Remind me why 35 dmg finishers exist again? Or dodge recoveries? Or chaining after a whiffed bash? Why is defense riskier than offense? Makes no fucking sense.
