This was much better play than what I've seen in the past from Mariano. That was a disciplined fold on the first hand he recorded (although he should have folded before the river), and while I don't think he should have jammed on the turn in the AA vs. 6-3s hand, it worked out for him because this Dylan guy is one of those players who won't fold AA unless the board leaves open a ton of full house or flush possibilities. It looks like he's become a lot more balanced and isn't trying to aggro bluff his way to huge pots all the time anymore.

The problem I have with Hustler poker, is that if you watch it too much you'll pick up bad tendencies. Its just purposedly bad poker for content. As fun as it may seem, it gets stale. I think poker strategy goes out the door when you're just 3 betting any 2 cards you look down at. As much as you want to keep the game interesting, I think the mentality of playing any 2 cards makes it less interesting over time. 😢

I doubt Dylan would check a K when you check to him on the river. Would you really check AK on 2 5 6 K Q ? Your hand looks exactly like what it is, some type of Q that picked up showdown. At some freq you'll prob fire a river with AT-AJ to fold out his 77-99 that decided to get sticky. Even more the reason of the fold you made when he bets. I just didn't agree with the logic of him not having a K, he flatted twice pre so he certainly can have KT-KJs in his range. Thanks for the content!
@MarianoPoker8 ай бұрын
He wouldn't have AK because he flatted twice before the flop. And he would probably check back KJ and KT but I'm not sure. Just my thoughts
@jamesbobbski22698 ай бұрын
@@MarianoPoker He never should have AK correct. I meant would YOU ever check AK to him on the river? If the answer is no, and Dylan thinks this about you, Dylan should bet small with his Kx on the river to get called by your Qx.
