@@timcarr6401 no I mean STEALING.I watched an interview with Pat Boone where he openly admitted to stealing Richards songs (he acted like it was no big deal ) , and yes , that's plural , as in several songs .I was shocked , but I got over it...how 'bout you ?

@@natemcdonald8853 Covered does not = stealing. Pat Boone has always been an admirable man. Fats Domino thanked Pat for covering "Ain't That A Shame." It added to his wealth. Little Richard was initially disgusted with Elvis covering some of his songs, but did an about-turn because Elvis made him bigger.

These kind of glimpses into the past always give a feeling of something lost. Pride in appearance. Family values. No need for two incomes to own a house. Manners. Kids not so spoiled. Women seen as treasures. Then I remember that manners were only extended to certain races. Women were valued as treasures only when they kept their opinions to themselves and their tush in the kitchen. Marriages weren't all bells and whistles and to split was taboo. I wish we could find a balance. I would love to make my own money but have more time to be at home to clean and cook and care for kids. But to understand I'm smart and my thoughts matter. To bring back manners and have them extended to neighbors from cultures different than my own.

A lot of young kids are listening our old songs & having fun dancing. Like 1959 Pink Shoe Laces. That junk that's being recorded today is too nasty for many to listen too & Rap Songs, I call; are talking with a drum beat. Who in the World can dance to that without being nasty. I can hear those Raper 50-100 years from now on a couples Anniversary say "Oh Honey, they are playing our song!". Many married people will play their song; especially after a fight & fall back in Love all over again. That's impossible with Thumping Drums, guys on the floor dusting & hearing all the Hateful Words to Kill. No wonder there's so many people killing each other.

Agreed... Love this era of music... charm...rhythm.. imaginative (even a little corny) lyrics... Today's 'hits' all sound like an auctioneer's chat with drums. Every one, exactly the same... designed not to inspire... but to stupify.
