Does 117ci Make a Difference on the 2023 Low Rider S!?? Today I'll do a test ride on the 2023 Harley Davidson Low Rider S with the 117ci engine. Ride along as I give my experience on some of the changes that have been made to the previous versions of the Low Rider S from 2021. Things likes suspension, gauge, and engine performance.

I traded in my 2020 Breakout 114 for the 23 Breakout 117 and I agree there is a very noticeable difference between the 114 and 117. Also like you said the 117 does seem smoother in my opinion as well. Great video and ride safe 🤘

How? I’ve owned every version of the M8 except the new 121cvo. I’d be hard pressed to notice any difference between any of them in stock form. A 107 with a cam is better than any of the others stock. I’ve even owned a 131stage iv. That was definitely noticeably better.

Just traded my 20 Street Bob to a 23 Low Rider S. That's 107 to 117 a definite jump. So far loving the Low Rider here in Philly. Don't forget the Low Rider has a 5 gallon tank which is a game changer. The dealer threw my Leather Pro Bags on the Low Rider. Great transition. The Low Rider is almost moving into a sport bike from a cruiser. Handles great on the city streets also

Hard to believe that 10 cubic inches makes any difference. There wasn't much between a 340, a 350, and a 351, nor between a 440 and 455.

@spaceflight1019 They added a heavy breather intake which changes the tune. You could stage the 107 and get the same results I would think

@@spaceflight1019 A 340 to a 350 is less than 3% more , whereas a 107 to 117 is almost a 10% jump in displacement. So, with cams, pipes, tuners and all other factors being equal, it is three times the volume jump when compared head to head. Could be significant. I found the 96 inch in my Rocker C to be quite a bit more motor than the 88 in my Springer. Both have cams, tuners and pipes. The 96 pulls noticeably stronger. Don't even get me going on the 5 speed versus 6 speed, I still find myself looking for 6th on the Springer on occasion.

The handlebar length is likely causing the vibrations. I own a 23 LRS and with the stock bars there was little vibration, with the 14 inch Tbars I now feel a significant increase in vibration.

@@Maggieismydog I liked the looks. My first M8 soft tail was the fat bob (114ci, no mods). Then I had a road glide (131ci stage iv; ohlins suspension). Now I have a LRS (117ci; added some saddlebags) My favorite riding bike was the fat bob. The power was amazing with the road glide and it was comfortable. The LRS is cool looking but I don’t think it handles any better than the fat bob. I regret selling my road glide. But I was moving across country and didn’t have space for a bike. LRS is fun. Not sure why I bought it. I like the way it looks but the fairing is too small. I think looking back I’d probably have kept the road glide because of the money I sunk into it. Or maybe just gone with a steet bob for the money savings and done some tasteful mods. It just goes back to if you like the way it looks and you have to have the upside down forks twin brakes. The bigger motor is cool for bragging rights but a cam’d 107 will stomp it.

What is wrong with Harley-Davidson? The British had one horsepower per cubic inch back in the 1950s and 60s. How come the 114 does not make 114 horsepower at the rear wheel? Especially with a 4-valve head. Pathetic if you ask me. They should do better right from the factory. After all you pay a mint for a brand new Harley Davidson.
