I’m also a Hugh fan of the Hawks. Their steam punk mechanical ⚙️ designs are generally intricate yet very functional! Mantis knives impresses me every day that they still somehow sell knives. This is probably their best model ever made. Admittedly.. I have their balisong/ Karambit in my collection 🤦‍♂️ I think the only thing I that suffers is the ergos around the index finger… as you mentioned I still appreciate the design and I can dig it! Perfect office knife

The love that Advanced Knife Bro has for Hawk designs warms my heart. Seriously man, when you get down to it, knife collecting and the knife hobby in general is ridiculous but it's great and fun because of the passion people feel about certain knives, and the enjoyment they get from that. And I think you represent that very well. I don't see myself ever owning a gear driven knife, but the face they exist are just cool man! Great video Bro! You know what really grinds my gears? My stepdad wont load his ladders into his S-10 that have been just laying on the ground for weeks in my Mom's backyard. I brought it up to him the other day, which was a bad idea on my part, mainly because I interrupted his Busch light drinking time.

I have a version of the Gearhead. I haven't got any dog shit in it yet cause I almost never carry it. I just like to fidget with it now and then to remind myself that I bought a $150 knife just cause it looks cool and that's ok.

Your beer reviews are great, don't stop doing them! I watch all your videos...you could review Lego models of small forest animals and I'd still watch. My only Hawk knife is the Kershaw Induction. Sure, it's a cheap Kerrrrrshawwww, but it's still pretty awesome and I love it. Never even heard of this Mantis, gonna have to pick one up.

It's a cool looking design but I agree with you on the frame lock. With my clumsy ass I'd be cutting myself all the time. Not into Damascus either, but the regular ones look really good too. Might pick one up just for the cool factor, cause my table drawer is really into cool knives.

Just found the channel recently and love your style even if I'm not going to buy most of these smaller/micro brands and more expensive knives (staying at the 100 and lower range myself lol) you review but your reviews are entertaining either way. Also a watch guy it would be interesting to see your views on them without as much influence from the community. As for gears in a knife if they are functional then it's a terrible idea. Adding more mechanical parts to a system especially when undeeded. Just creates more failure points and shortens the lifespan of any device. Sure it will look pretty but idk even if I wouldn't use it heavily I'd want to buy something knowing how many added issues it can have.
