Does a Person Who Commits Suicide Go to Heaven?

I have been there… at that point where the thought of living is more terrifying than death. Only by the grace of God do I remain. He saved me from myself. Jesus Christ is Lord!!

@@bryandwyer6937 While that is personally true, its not true technically, Repentance is daily renewal. Without consistent repenting the relationship between God and man suffers. Are you saying that everyone can be saved because backsliders ask for forgiveness while committing problematic circumstances against others?

@@joshuamartinpryce1237 It's not by works that we are saved. The truth doesn't change. It either is, or isn't. Say we carry out your thinking, would that mean that a christian who just committed a sin and catches a stray round immediately after, isn't saved? We are born IN sin and by accepting Jesus, we are absolved. Now there are those that claim that if you accept him and continue on like nothing, then you'll go to hell. There isn't any scripture that dictates that to be the case. But if you truly accept Christ, God says he will remove your heart of stone and replace it with His spirit. So only makes sense that if you were genuine in your fealty, you should noticeably change with minimal effort. In regards to Artist's comment, Jesus was prophesied, God said he would make a new covenant, Jesus proved to a substantial amount of his fellow Jews (who lived and died by the law) and gentiles that he was the messiah on multiple fronts. Considering they had a heavy hand in killing God in the flesh, if you ever see them heralding anyone as a messiah, more than likely that'll be the antichrist.

This is a pointless message that does not deter suicide, but excuses it. Sorry, but that is not the truth. Unrepentant sinners (suicides) will not inherit the Kingdom of God. True Christians follow the character definitions found in the Sermon on the Mount: "poor in spirit" acknowledging their need for God; "mourning" over their sin instead of excusing it or blaming others for it; "meek" as in harmless; "hunger for righteousness" means pushing away what the world and Satan offers; "merciful" - to others as well as themselves; "pure in heart" - not thinking evil thoughts and being ungrateful. Thankfulness will cure a lot of bad thoughts. Do not be deceived! Jesus stated clearly that if one "has no root in himself, and only endures for a while, but when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away." (Matthew 3:20-21) He also says "The one who endures to the end will be saved." (Matthew 24:13)

what about Lazarus and The Rich Man? Lazarus was put on the side of the road cuz he was unable to move, hungry and thirsty, old, dirty, dressed in rags while wild dogs were licking his open wounds. Doesn't sound like a "rich and satisfying life". Besides, if 1 is having this rich and satisfying life, then why contemplate suicide?

Human beings don't get to go to heaven well (only the people that Jesus has said) the people that he has chosen will go to heaven, every one else will be resurrected here on earth for a second chance. When he passes judgment and some will not get the full glory of the resurrection because their the people who are the ones that were, wicked, unholy, sick minded disobedient holy leaders that mislead the church and hide the truth and glory of god and his plans. The people who will be resurrected will be here on earth as he said in book genesis. God gave us the earth to subdue it, and to Multiply ; Has that already happened? Prophesy was fulfilled (I'm getting off topic). You have to remember that that Jesus will defeat Satan and imprison him for a short time and then be let out of the abyss (Death) to try one more time to make humankind disobey god one more time and then he will put Satan and his followers into the abyss (Death) for eternity. Also Remember Jesus will have more plans for us as he is our ruler and as our ruler he will give us new things to do here on earth and possible the whole universe that we live in now. So Don't feel sad that your not going to heaven because we will be living in heaven just in Gods kingdom here on earth. when you think of having what Jesus has told all of us, Do you think or dwell on being in heaven with God, And Jesus? I know I don't personally I know where Jesus has made a place for me and it is here on the kingdom of earth Beside My God, and his son Jesus.

My brother just died by suicide in Houston Texas. He was in a motel there and was found in the tub with a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head. An autopsy was done to rule out foul play.
