I never wanted to make a family of my own, I was blessed with a mature woman, a real gift from God himself, a woman my own age at the time of it was nothing I ever wanted, back then there were way too many problems with things like this, am 64 yrs old and I get lots of attention from ladies much younger than me, too late for that now. Sir there's nothing wrong with a mate your own age, it depends on what you're looking for in life

Thanks a lot for these sessions. I am learning a whole lot. I am 26 and my girlfriend is 20. At first I thought that maybe I am too dumb and she's too smart, 'cause she's way emotionally mature and composed compared to me. Sometimes people have told me she's too young (referring to the number) but I feel like if they zoomed closer into the relationship they'd see the truth of it. It angers me a lot sometimes (perhaps this is another sign of immaturity haha). But I think it was important to become self aware about this. Ironically, I never had this self awareness before I met her. I think that is the first step towards growth...the maturity of emotional intelligence. This video has articulated what I have felt very fluently. I wish you could do a video on some practical ways to increase one's emotional intelligence, in essence the steps following self awareness. We need to assess ourselves more on the inside to gauge our readiness for relationships rather looking only to the outside which would mostly be physical age.

This is a very amazing perspective. I believe people focus more on the physical age aspect because they worry how it will be perceived by the outside world.However, as you mention, mental age is the most important. And the physical age should be of concern to only the parties in the relationship. Very excellent advice Icfcl !!!

The best heard thus far on age differences. Am adult male.at a great level of maturity. And your thoughts are most important. Not only to the individuals but to society at large. Much pressure place on couples from the outside world by people of oppionions. Every one has them most have little or no support behind those oppionions. Just polleys repeating what others say So couples have also remove themselves from outside pressure.
