The Kinaraas should be back for part two, I enjoyed the show and have really grown in how I view life and growing towards being a great and understanding husband in the future. Kudos to Soila and Curtis for helping us understand how life is on the other side that most men are afraid of crossing which is marriage life, am blessed by this episode honestly.

Happy to see you back, As always nothing less of Soul food. Never ending food for thought, each topic you tackle opens up some part of societal nuances that we shy away from or have adapted without understanding why we have chosen to believe in them. The content you share is Christian based content and all the Couples you have brought have followed the Christian way of getting together, which is nothing less of admirable. I appreciate that you guys are never judgemental nor portray yourselves to be. Perhaps because it happens you can discuss or find inspiration from a couple where one met the other when one of them had a child, and how they navigated that and if it at any one point was the child a bone of contention for the childless party. How they overcame that and what advice they would have, that would be a blessing to me and perhaps someone else who loves your content.

It's so sad some of the comments on here . Let me start by saying most relationships where people are not following the usual path inerms of age always nearly work. Do u know why? For a man to Pic a woman who is older and stick with that decision means she must reaaaaly make him happy and also they must really be compatible and the woman too sees and feels it. They also know it's not the usual narrative and that's a receipe for success.

Genesis 38, Tamar was given to the brother to make her pregnant(my assumption is that Tamar was older than Onam) so in marriage its not about age. 2nd scenario is in the book of Ruth, Ruth told his daughters-in-law that she was old and couldnt give them sons to marry them and if so they couldnt wait. in the Bible so long as the man is old enough to make his brothers wife pregnant thats its, they were to marry them. My small opinion though!

If he can't wait for you to hear God for yourself, it's a sign of their immaturity and maybe even controlling tendencies. You have a God given right to say yes or no. No one should use the name of God to manipulate you into a relationship. Take your time.

In my experience, biggest challenge in marrying someone older especially if the guy marries an older woman, is the family of the man 👨who believe a woman who is older especially if she is already in her 30s..not meet the family's desire to bear enough grandchildren or she will av challenges..i av seen this with my family n i wouldnt want to put someone or be put through that kind of shame over something you cannot control..and that is why in my case i do not want to marry a younger guy
@SoilaandCurtis3 жыл бұрын
This is a really good point you have raised...Family! Allowing family members to have a huge stake on who you marry can be a very tricky scenario. Because it means even after the wedding day they will still be controlling one or two things here and there. It's good to listen to your family for advise, but the ultimate final decision should be between the two partners.

@rasugukinara3 жыл бұрын
@Tevin. God always talks to everyone in many different ways but we don't have the same level of awareness for many different reasons. About a spouse, it's dangerous to make a template out of my experience or anyone else's. I have many friends who are married who had very different experiences from mine.
@tevinw.60313 жыл бұрын
@@rasugukinara Very true. SO the key take away from this is to have a relationship with God so that you can discern His voice. From someone who is looking to grow that relationship, how can I grow it so that I am able to discern His voice?
@rasugukinara3 жыл бұрын
@@tevinw.6031 You are wise to seek to grow your relationship with God. Honestly, it's a journey that requires faith and commitment for life because both of these will be tested along the way. But it's very rewarding and there is nothing meaningful in life without a relationship with God. We can talk more over coffee or something. Hit me up on FB - same name.
