I appreciate you speaking up about a challenging and painful topic that surrounds many of us in this big world we live in. Social media, television and other influences give us the impression that we must be millionaires or fathers/mothers by our mid twenties when that isn't realistic at all. Most of us do struggle sometimes, but when we ground ourselves to get intuitive (i.e. meditation, self reflection) we begin to understand and embrace the journey we are on!

Just came across your channel. Its pretty great that your putting a spotlight on social issues that are happening in this world today. Im 41 year old single father so i have seen a lot of change's in this world. Social media, to lockdowns. If i could say anything to help anyone, i would say we create a lot of our own situation just in our thoughts. Spend time bettering yourself at least by one percent a day and do everything you can to be more positive. Just think about what can happen if you do something like 10 to 11 pushups, then you get to 12 and 13 so on so on. At the end of that year you have made so much progress. You're not wrong about instant gratification. So instead give yourself a year.

I’m so glad I found your channel! Your videos are awesome and I love the content you talk about. It makes me feel less alone in life. I totally relate to you, I’m almost 30 too (turning 29 in 2 weeks) and my life does NOT look like what I thought it would at almost 30. I’m not married, no kids, not even dating anyone right now… I always see my friends and the people I grew up with/went to school with on social media posting pictures of their weddings, husbands, new babies, etc. and it makes me feel like I’m behind in life. Like I’m not where I “should” be at this point. And sometimes the feeling of that makes me feel like there’s something wrong with me or that I’ll never get there. I’m just glad to know I’m not the only one at this point in life and there are others out there experiencing the same thing! And that there’s nothing wrong with any of us for doing certain things in a longer timeframe than others. It’s just our own personal life journeys. And we will be ok as long as we are living authentically and following the things that bring us joy in life. Everyone has their own timing for things that is perfect for their own life story 🙂 thanks for the great reminders!

This was a stroke of luck stumbling over, and things i needed to hear. Im 20 and on monday starting what is my final test for my lineman powergrid papers, essentially the last step of my chosen career path. Waiting for me then is a year of reqired military duty. Followed by, my goal since 13, engineering studies... Finally realizing that other than military im basically not bound to anything. My options, although previously certain and spesific, being so out in the open has really put me standing at the edge of void to feeling lost. Always great to hear from the perspective of the closest next big milestone of life😊

Great video Akta. I think a great deal of our issues come from Postmodernism - what I mean by this is the assumed certainty of objective efforts to explain reality. I.e the way that almost every media we consume (adverts, movies, videogames, social media) is based upon a perceived reality, and how reality should be, rather than how it actually exists in the material world. I think this is a big cause of younger generations feeling really lost in this world. They look to influencers and certain youtubers for guidance on how they're lives should be, but most of this is complete fantasy. I can see that a lot of your videos you spend time outside in nature, I think this is the best way to get outside of the postmodernist trap. The only time I really feel grounded is either in nature, or when I'm doing something material; playing the piano, drawing, cooking etc. Thanks for the video.

"I am lost... without you. You're the light always shining through. You're my luck... and my truth. I'll give up on the world before I'm giving up on you." I think those lyrics everyday, every time I wake up and look myself in the mirror. The only person who decides our purpose, our mission in life is... ourselves. Once you realise and understand who and what you truly are... then you will no longer feel lost because you will know exactly where to go, and what to do and do what's best for you. So you don't want to feel lost? Find yourself first. Discover who you are. Once you have, you will be able to chart a course and go far. Great video. Cheers!

I guess I don't necessarily feel lost, but broken is a better word. I have a learning disability that makes me seem stupid and ASD that makes me seem weird. It gets worse. One day at work was awful. I was taken to my supervisor's office with her and a high-ranking chef. They (or mostly the chef) told me that I've been touching my coworkers too much. Not THAT type of touch, of course not! Just casual ones, like on arms or shoulders. I was always very outgoing at work. When I asked her if anyone reported a complaint, she said it didn't matter. She told me that we need the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment, and that I pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school (I work at a university's catering service). She told me I shouldn't tell my stories because they may be inappropriate to my coworkers. Now yeah, I pretty much don't have a filter, and sometimes I guess I do say inappropriate stuff at work, but not horribly nor intentionally. I like to joke around and have fun with my coworkers, but I guess it isn't like that after all (more or less). I really didn't get specific information from the chef about what and who. She understands and likes that I'm outgoing, but she made it sound risky and in need of limits, for good behavior and my coworkers' sake. And again, that I shouldn't touch my coworkers (shoulders or arms) without their consent. But seriously, I'm not a creep! I don't randomly hug people or anything like that. I didn't mean to be so "handsy" (I say loosely). I'm so embarrassed about the office lecture. I am not like Biden at all. I'm really not. Have I really gone that far at work? I already hate being on the spectrum, and sometimes I actually hate myself. I wish I could work somewhere, not only for my coworkers' sake (should that presumption be true) and myself, because I'm so ashamed.

Hi Akta 👋, I feel like this topic is one that many of us (including myself) can relate to. Although it’s already difficult enough to experience feeling lost and/or behind in life, what makes it even more difficult for people is when it seems like they’re going through this alone when they’re really not. I love what you said at 0:34 about how feeling lost in life is a part of growing up because I feel like I’ve learned a lot from people (including you) who share inspiring life stories from overcoming the experience of feeling lost and/or behind in life to following their dreams and forging their own paths despite other people trying to talk them out of it. Sometimes we meet people who tell us where they think we’re “supposed to” be at in our lives at a certain age when we should be the ones deciding that for ourselves. Many of us (including me) may have felt lost and/or behind in life at a certain point, but I think we need to remember that everyone’s on their own journey, and that we are not as alone as we think we are. Sending you lots of love!!! ❤️❤️❤️🤗

As a man, not going to lie I feel lonely and miserable at times. I do believe men as a whole are only truly loved by what they can provide. Women, children, and pets for that matter are loved unconditionally just by their beauty and presence alone. As a man it feels like a job just to be loved by someone else because if you have nothing to offer than we’re essentially label as useless in the eyes of many. I feel that it is important to be with someone that you can share your happiness with but to also share your frustrations with too. In hopes to hide the imagery of loneliness and misery. Problem is finding the right girl in my life that would be up for it. It’s like all the good ones are always taken haha. Timing is everything.

They say that a plane is, while in flight, over 90 percent off its' ideal path, yet it still lands where it should. The rule of thumb for the pilots is: " 1. Aviate (fly the plane), 2. Navigate (orient the plane) and 3. Communicate (speak about issues with ground control or with co-pilot). I believe this rule should be applied also in other fields of activity or in one's life. If you feel lost, first put some order in life and live organised with a strict schedule; then orient yourself, find a meaning or a purpose for the days you have remaining from your life (life might seem long but it really is very short) and only after you have found the meaning through introspection, look around and communicate with others.

Building a relationship with God give direction and freedom from the darkness and cages we put ourselves in. Trust and build a connect with the Lord and experience the healing and grace he has for you. I’m not talking about religion. Religion will beat you up about your past or bad decisions. Im not talking about earning salvation. Because salvation could never be earned but it’s an eternal gift given to us by Jesus. We just have to accept it by letting him in! Relationship is about coming to God how you are in the moment. Not getting better before going to God. Trust me he has changed my life and there is no amount of loneliness or attacks from the enemy that can severe my Connection with the Lord! I ones thought i was lost too, but it was all part of God planning. It's good that you're questioning everything because not everything is what it seems. For starters, you have to embrace the loneliness( it's difficult), but it will make life a bit easier. You already have the answer to some of your own conflicts/ questions, you're just not seeing it (trust me ones you're able to see thing through It's like being outside a circle and seeing everything that is going on) Don't rule out the idea of purpose just yet. Having a social media account is a mind trap, we just gotta know when to detach from it. I might have some answers to your questions. This video reminds me when i was younger and I'm currently 27.
