Its actually a good game, riot just doesnt want to advertise the game for some reason. It could definitely pull more players with advertisement

Been playing since beta, reaching master since the expansion after rising tides(Bilgewater), I took a break after reaching master just became a grind and been playing PvE since the past 2 seasons. The PvP is a secondary mode now so it's not the best game for that side of the community. LoR was too F2P friendly and they receive a big cut in funding and are now fully focusing on PvE, they are even going to release a PvE exclusive champion this year.

That's not true for the exclusive pve champion they made an error in their communication they will also be released in pvp

No 100% disagree LoL is also F2P friendly and it has become one of the greatest and most profitable games ever. The reason why that same strategy didn't work for LoR is because of bad skins, in LoL when you buy a skin your animations change, your Ability Animations Change, Recall animation Changes, attack animation change, movement changes, your Dance, Taunt, Laugh all change for like 15$. BUT in LoR you only get 5 sec level up animation and boring image that is not even moving with 0 animations. Imagine if for 15$ if they put just a little bit more work, 1. And they gave your champion Art Moving animation, 2. Ability animations: when they activate their effects. 3. Imagin New popping cool animation when you draw a card. 4. New summoning from hand animation, 5. New death animation (Like card gets turned in to blood or ashes or ice or something) 6. Imagine when you buy champion skin your 5 closest followers also get there skins changed ? 7. What if they made a new skins not only for champions but for game ending Spells to look different. now we are talking a different story, i would have spent like 100$ a month on that s*!t, players tolled them what they want but they didn't want to listen. Or they didn't have time to listen from working on the best card game ever to be honest.

@@obrenovic4130 card games make money selling cards, the rare variants may add a few extra purchases from dedicated fans, but it's still by selling cards. LoR can't make money selling cards because in one or two months you already have all the cards you need. The game is to F2P friendly to make money as a card game. A skin in LoR is never going to be half the product a skin for a MOBA or an FPS just by the fact that you have to first draw and play the card to see the skin.

@@alexllenas4607 That is understood but thats why when you buy a skin you should also get couple more skins for their followers just getting 1 pretty Artwork for 15$- 30$ that you won't even draw in 30% of games is a scam. That's why you have to give to those cards some Attaching animations that goes with that Skin, something like fire around a card when it attacks or it screams when its destroyed and card turns in to ashes and you know that kind of stuff : / BUT they never made this things and they are hundred times more cheaper to produce than, Skin Animations and abilities in LoL.

What company profit, in my opinion you can have fun will being totally F2P and still have majority of the cards. Only the skins are purchasable and unlike LoL they are cleary not worth buying

The problem is the company makes no profit because it’s so easy to play free, so they stop investing in the competitive scene as much as possible

I played from beta until i think morgana was released. Just didnt love the direction things were were going but have been toying with making a return and setting thr ladder ablaze

As someone who doesn't play card games at all im disappointed to hear that LoR is underrated compared to the Marvel Snap card game I see everywhere on steam. The art and charcters look so much cooler!

They focus on the pve more, which is fine, just because pvp wasnt making them money

Disagree. The artwork on cards in LOR is extremely high quality. Almost every card has a full HD illustration, which is incredibly detailed-much more so than any other card game I’ve played. If you've ever worked with artists, you’d know that producing this level of art is far from cheap. Also, the price for card skins has to cover the cost of providing free cards (art + animation) to maintain sustainability. Selling card skins, board, pet has never been a way to make a profit in LOR, and tbh your suggestion would be even worse. I’m not a big fan of PvE, but I’m glad they are focusing on PVE and starting to to generate some money out of it.

Stop beating this game down, it is so great, still. But we have to lay down the concerns and give it a second chance (and PVE)

It was my favorite game until they took pvp to a backroom and shot it on the back of the neck while making room for the other game mode that is personally very meh for me
