How come PBC didn't make an effort to clout chase Bivol's name after beating Canelo? Normally this is something PBC would want to do to stirup Hearn. The answer is because Hearn probably would've taken that bluff, and David himself said he wasn't going to cross over to DAZN. So a year after Canelo loses to Bivol, Showtime sports goes out of business. A Benavidez vs Bivol fight could've maybe delayed Showtime's departure before closing shop. To make matters worse, if Team Benavidez wanted Bivol, ''the man who beat Canelo... and the third Mexican for Bivol'' (says Jose Benavidez in this video) then why didn't they just prioritize themselves in the 175 rankings after Canelo lost? I like David, he's a tough boxer & good guy, but he struggled with 175 his last fight. His style warrants him being the aggressor against Beterbiev & he can't be. It's a bad match up. Nah David dominated and won almost every round against Gvozdyk. A tougher opponent than who morell fought. Plus he was boxing and used a different style then he normally fights which i thought was interesting. Morell on the other hand struggled with a lot with that Serbian guy and kept getting countered the whole fight. He looked way worse honestly
