That's true life insurance policies become more expensive for persons with pre-existing conditions but, insurances have become more lenient by offering insurance policies specifically for people with pre-existing conditions....at a far lower price.... It will cover some or most of funeral costs... but, you will need to come out of pocket to cover some things.. so, it's better to get insurance now while the opportunity exists.... better now than never..🙏🙏🙏

2 close friends of mine who lived and died there in Angeles were taken to Galang Funeral Home on McArthur Highway to have their last wishes given, they both were retired Military one of them a Lt Colonel buried right there on Clark Base right now, The VFW can give you all the information on how to prepare for this it use to be located over there by Josefaville many years ago, but right now I dont know, I dont know anything about Subic but the contact at the VFW RAO office I think his name was James or Jim Boyd located on McArthur Highway was a great source of information when I was living there many many years ago.

Not trying to be a jerk here (I like Rose), but, to be honest, if I was married and then years into the marriage my wife starts asking me to consider life insurance, frankly, it woud give me the creeps. That aside, when Dave says, "when I was young, I drank alcohol, smoked coke (cocaine), smoked cigarettes" and "I don't think about the future," I ask myself, why did Rose marry him in the first place? Just another thought, on Life insurance, my BFF passed away too early, and he didn't get to enjoy his retirement more than 5 years, BUT he had prepaid his Cremation , so as not to burden his family. I chose to do the same and just paid it off last year, so my Daughters just have to call 800 number to make arrangements. Take care!

And David you should really try to get your wife to the U.S. so she can get U.S. benefits, that she’s entitled to. She really deserves it as a loyal and dedicated wife. Talk to the bank and get a person name and send a LBC to them with a return LBC envelope inside it forthem to return the card to you in. That way it cost them nothing to send the card to you internationally and that's your problem my friend

I am married to filipina for 2 years now in the States. I was at 20% for almost 25 years until I had emergency surgery in 2020 from a service connected injury... bumped me up to 80%... now working with a guy who got me there and now pushing to get the 100% P&T. If you're reading this David or Rose, I can get you guys in touch with this person who worked for the VA for over 10 years. He specializes in getting veterans with service-connected injuries to 100%. He will look at your file to see if he can get it for you. I had doubts 2 years ago... but at 80%, I never dreamed of getting that high of a rating so fast... but I also didn't think I would have emergency surgery either. Thanks.

You could check into life insurance just to know your options. US life insurance requires a doctor physical and disclosure of current health issues. I would be surprised if a company would insure David. If one did the premium would be extremely high. For example a healthy 65 year-old the premium is about $675/yr for just $10,000 Whole Life. 10 year Term Life insurance for $250,000 would cost about $1300/yr. There are some policies for older, unhealthy people but these are more like a savings account. They really only pay back what you paid in plus some interest. For just a death benefit to help with burial, generally no medical test, a 65 year-old pays about $30/mo to get $5000. You do have to answer questions however on the application and if you answer "good health" they may issues the policy and you pay for months or years but when you make a claim they check your history and find you lied on the application they can refuse to pay plus they keep all your payments. Best to tell the truth. I assume burial can happen outside the US.

I never seen someone so calm about their missing money/benefits before. Especially someone who’s unhealthy and disabled and that’s their only income to depend on. And 4 months behind in rent/mortgage. Does he even love his wife. Why he make her suffer so.
