This was a great video to be recommended! It does seem like there's such a problem with being in the "in crowd" of doctor who production, which is a bit ridiculous for a show that so many generations have been raised on. Totally agree that the newer writers/actors have really brought something special to the show Also, the whole reason the 2005 reboot was good was that RTD was trying out new ideas! Let someone else have a go and figure out what works!

Agreed. What the show needs is someone new to revitalize and reinvent it like RTD did back in 2005. Ironically it seems like RTD is now the one preventing that from happening. Then again, maybe the bbc is no longer willing to entrust the show to anyone outside of the established inner circle. If so, then that would be a shame. I absolutely love RTD’s first era, but he had his time in the spotlight and the show is now growing stagnant by refusing to move on.

If by new blood you mean writers that understand the concept of payoffs, then yes.

If in new blood you mean a complete overhaul including undoing through time travel most of the disaster of New Who that blithely slashed and burned Classic Who?

Name someone that would do it though. I don’t think they’d find another showrunner.

J Michael Strazynski! He even offered to do it and the BBC turned him down! The fools.

@ I agree with the BBC, that would have been terrible. He’d have turned it into one of his Babylon 5 shows 🤮

@@laurencefrazer Are you high as a kite? Those shows are amazing Science Fiction! Don't don't me you actually like the campy bright colourful big gay musical dance show with extra crying in it that RTD2 has become? Guess you prefer identity politics and not Science Fiction. Call me mad but that's not why ANY sane person got into Who in the first place. Not pre RTD anyway.

Sorry but I despise the Timeless Child. The Doctor isn't from Gallifrey and started life as an all impotant myserious little black girl isn't clever. Its woke and dumb. God forbid William Hartnell ever be remembered as the first.
