Why I never cared for Jay. Excellent drummer, probably even better than Joey for technical skill, but he lacked the speed of Joey in his prime, which it's known Joey didn't use any triggers until he got older and started having issues. It didn't feel like the same band, to me anymore, as an older fan.... then eloy comes along, not only plays it, showing the same insane speed, but somehow adding to it.....I knew this guy was good, but damn. If slipknot wants one more chance to reach even close where they once were, I'm praying this is the guy, and I can't imagine eloy up and left sepultura, right before a final tour, while on good terms with the band, unless something this big.

@@williamkramer9731 It was more a health issue for Joey than age itself. Eloy brought back the same feeling we older fans had when we heard Joey albums with Slipknot. The same feeling the band is now feeling as well, it was very noticeable that the band didn't had the same energy after Joey left. By all means, still great and had very good albums. But there was something lacking and Eloy brought that back. I'm most excited to see new songs, and what they'll sound like.

Sim, e quem não enxerga isso não entende muito do assunto. No dia em que os músicos de metal de Iowa tocarem metade dos estilos que o Eloy consegue tocar, no nível e dinâmica em que ele toca, acabou o mundo. E eu sou fã da banda, mas é nítido o quanto ele pode agregar a eles muito mais do que o contrário.
