All debts are community debts, this includes back child support incurred while you’re married. Whatever he owed before they were married won’t count. Even if she wasn’t legally on the hook, morally she is also a deadbeat waste with low principles and high desperation.

To put it into perspective how far behind he is - $44k divided by $410/mth is 109 months. This deadbeat is 9 *YEARS* behind in support! If we do the math he's got kids with the new woman of 11, 7 and 1. My guess is the defendants' new significant other is a big part of having him stopping those support payments - if it comes to putting food on their table or paying support you can bet your last dollar she wants that food on their table. Would explain why defendants new partner is looking so uncomfortable sitting there.

He’d be upset because he wanted to buy a second house and all kinds of bullshit for himself. 🙄 Child support is exactly that!!! If your ex is neglecting the kid and you’re up to date, that’s different, go back to court and fight for your damn kid. But don’t start a new family and act like a birthday gift once a year means you’re taking care of your other child you POS. I swear, some parents think children are houseplants they can put facing the sun with a toy nestled beside it and go, “I’m a brilliant caretaker for this child!” Meanwhile, my mom would sometimes go without dinner to make sure I had a proper meal because she’d be expecting a check from him that didn’t arrive.
