figures they still wouldn’t have changed a bad thing they did at the end (by calling Ghana by its british colony name that ended almost 70 years ago)

The company that imports them is based on Seattle, but the packaging specified the candies themselves are imported from France.

In the early days (70’s - 80’s). We had violet candy. Flavor too flowery for me.

I wander if a miracle berry would make the durian taste better 😮

There used to a place in Kingston that sold chocolate covered bumble bees. The store Cookes Old World Shop is still open but no longer sells the bees.

What happens if you eat a Miracle Berry, and then eat a Carolina Reaper? :D

Bilar was a failed attempt to make marshmallows at a candy factory in Sweden. The taste was fine, but they deflated to the shape they still have. One of the workers said it looked like an old Bugatti race car so they sold it as Bilar (Cars in english).

I LOVE those. Had a boss that brought them back from Sweden for the office every year. So addicting.

I can't eat the original swedish bilar due to the smell that they have. They give me a headache. There is a sour-sugared and a salty liquorice version of them as well, but I really like their "fruktkombi" that has a wine gum top with a marshmallow bottom.

I don't get why people are so turned off by eating insects. If you've eaten lobster crabs and shrimp, you've eaten an insect
@dozer113 күн бұрын
Exactly. And if they ate it unlabeled and enjoyed it, then what? It’s not like they’re being forced to eat poo.

Those Miracle Berries and from Florida, not Africa
@QuarthnesКүн бұрын
Read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synsepalum_dulcificum Synsepalum dulcificum is a plant in the Sapotaceae family, native to tropical Africa. It is known for its berry that, when eaten, causes sour foods (such as lemons and limes) subsequently consumed to taste sweet. This effect is due to miraculin. Common names for this species and its berry include miracle fruit, miracle berry, miraculous berry, sweet berry, and in West Africa, where the species originates, àgbáyun (in Yoruba),taami, asaa, and ledidi.
@gotham61Күн бұрын
@@QuarthnesOkay, but none of that changes the fact that the product they gave in the video is grown, processed, and packed in Florida by a U.S. company, not Africa.
@QuarthnesКүн бұрын
@@gotham61 Nobody's denying it. The fruit is known to originate from Africa, and that fact remains unchanged.
@gotham61Күн бұрын
@@Quarthnes That's like saying Hershey's is from Africa, because cocoa beans originally came from there.
@QuarthnesКүн бұрын
@@gotham61Hershey isn’t a fruit; chocolate is a much broader product compared to miracle berries.
