Ultimately, whatever God sends in our lives is to conform us to the image of his Son so that we would be to the praise of the glory of his grace. There are many other reasons but all those reasons are wrapped up in these two reasons.

I'm still listening but think for certain that God surely allows affliction! We can't grow without it. Dietrich Bonnafer (sp?!) once said this simple sentence, "Suffering is Universal.". Thank you so much

I think that's the operative word - "allows". I think it would be incorrect to say God is the one doing the afflicting or causing the suffering. Rather, he brings about the circumstances where these other agents we see in these texts are doing the afflicting. God destines that suffering happen, but not at his hand (his hand doesn't carry out the suffering). Otherwise God would be a worker of evil.

@@343jonny yup God has killed humans but he can resurrect life so it's for him to take logically. He can do whatever he wants which is good. And it's good that he incinerated Sodom and Gomorrah. Because there were malevolent. However most modern humans are x multiplied times worse than Sodom and Gomorrah.

I've often wondered this... the book of Job has some good insight on this topic as well. Thanks for the video! God bless

The book of Job is a good example of this. God allowed Satan to torment Job but we see how it taught Job a valuable lesson as well as the 3 men who came to rebuke Job and so God brought about good from it and Job was rewarded.

All things are from God, but we often see God's plans enacted by His creatures. Evil things are logically going to come via evil people. This is why it's important for us to allow His good things to come via us, using His strength for His glory.

I think it's better to say "all GOOD things come from God". Because if you say "all things are from God", sin and corruption are part of all things, so you would be saying "sin and corruption are from God".

So often pastor John bless his heart comes across as though he were condemning humanity.. Now if you come to serving God from a different perspective and that is loving to do his will because Not only do you understand his sacrifice but Because of his sacrifice you love to do his will. For men and it's extremely important You get an accountability partner that Truly is a servant. Wages of sin is death. It is a death not only physical but spiritual…

God entices those who are wicked to carry out his missions.with his authority he allows the wicked to torment whomever he wishes. He does not just torment for fun, everything he does has a reason. He warns multiple times before he attacks. The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these. - Isaiah 45:7

I don't believe God entices the wicked, but in certain instances he can allow the works of the evil one, if it can be used for God's purposes of righteousness.

@@mickeypearce244 I know, it feels good to act as if you are protecting God, but he does not need your protection or defense at all. If you are to fully understand the scriptures you will know that evil dwells in the hearts of man. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. - Genesis 6:5 Agree with me or not but according to the Bible God orchestrates every thing ‘See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, And there is no one who can deliver from My hand. - Deuteronomy 32:39 The israelites inticed his anger countless times and there were consequences. He blessed them abundantly also punished them servely. He punished them due to their evilness and blessed them for their righteousness. “For He inflicts pain, and gives relief; He wounds, and His hands also heal. - Job 5:18 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. - Job 2:10

@@ThebelieverMtiz It should be plain when you read James 1:13 that God does not entice or tempt people to do evil. "Let noone say when he is tempted 'I am being tempted by God'". For God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. None of the verses you cited teach that God entices men to evil: - The Genesis verse only teaches that men are evil, not that God tempts them to evil. - The Deuteronomy verse doesn't mention God tempting people to do evil. - The Job verses don't mention him inciting people to sin. What COULD be in question from the verses you cited is whether or not God afflicts people with suffering himself, directly. But not that he incites people to do evil.

Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

God can send affliction but I believe a lot of us can cause affliction upon ourselves,by avoiding the truth, by eating negative foods, by taking drugs, by listening to music with negative vibrations in it, by even just thinking negative thoughts, it can all have an effect upon the body just like positive one's, I think affliction is high in the world because a lot of people are in a negative vibration, I think people can feel it too, but I also feel God an angel's all around us and I know nothing is to fear in this realm because it's not a permanent state.

9:30 A thorn was given me in the flesh, a _ἄγγελος_ of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. In Paul's letters, that Greek word (angelos) is rendered "angel" 13 out of 13 times. Only one time is it rendered as "messenger." Likewise, it's angel throughout the rest of the New Testament 97% of the time. He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal... prepared for the devil and his angels.' (Matt 25) "The angel answered and said, “I am Gabriel..." (Luke 1) This very night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood before me, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar... (Acts 27) 2 Cor 12:7 Because of the extraordinary greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, an [angelos] of Satan to torment me--to keep me from exalting myself! It appears the chapter right before: 2 Cor 11:14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an [angelos] of light.

"Does God or Satan Send Affliction? 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5, Part 4" Kind Sir...Jesus (Who is the ONLY True God Almighty there will ever be) does NOT afflict any one (from Creation to the End of he World). However, Jesus DOES "test" us often; as He did to Job, etc! In an unlimited number of ways... ...While satan tempts us and afflicts us ALL the time; from birth to death. Oh Yes indeed. I'm, and all other Born Again's; have experienced those horrors! But we have a perfect and Joyful "detour"; around that "hell on earth"! And how can we have that "Heavenly Joy"? Huh? Simple: just pray, sincerely and often; to Jesus ONLY; and ask him to do; what Jesus preached, 2,000 yrs ago... Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. And for Jesus' sake: don't say what many say, "Why do we have to pray that; when Jesus already has done that?." (Predestenation!) BUT: that is NOT true! And the reason is! Before Creation, Jesus chose to give all "Images" of God", FREE-Will! Thus, Jesus stays OUT of all our lives (except for very RARE times). So we can do ANY thing we want to. Believe it or not. Praise Jesus' Holy Name! Thus,, Jesus waits for ANY Born Again; to sincerely, and often, pray those heavenly words above. Then, and only then will Jesus "Run Interference" against satan afrom the Born Again's! For then, our problem will be gone. And we will have "peace and joy". Praise Jesus' Holy Name! But MOST Christians believe in "Predestination", more or less. But: that IS a Bold-Faced LIE; promulgated by satan; since Creation. And he did this to make us live in that "hell on earth life" scenario! May Jesus have mercy on any one; that believes in that satan-led, Godless LIE! End of Story and I rest me case... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Even though God is behind creation - that does not mean that God is behind everything that happens within creation. God has given us free will - therefore - we are capable of being creators in our own right; including creating suffering for ourselves and others. This delusionary belief - that God is causing our suffering and perhaps punishing us - is one of the most dangerous delusionary belief promoted by religious teachers. For how can we become free from suffering if we do not realize what is causing it? As long as we believe that delusion - we will blame God or others - or our circumstances for our suffering and not realize that we are responsible for our suffering. Our wrong thinking - and the negative emotions and negative actions that flow from our thoughts - causes our suffering. Depending on what we choose to believe and how we choose to respond to life - we create more Love in the world or the opposite. When we choose to express the opposite of Love or cause harm - it is not God that is at fault. God gifted us with the freedom to do what we want - to do and to create or miscreate along whatever lines us feel are necessary - but we cannot overpower God. We eventually learn from our choices to be better creators - to create happiness instead of suffering - and it is suffering that teaches us this; suffering points us away from what is anti-life - anti-Love. Our own personal suffering is the so-called "punishment" we receive when we create choices that are not aligned with Love - that is the only "punishment" meted out by God. We are designed to suffer whenever we miss the mark - which is the meaning of sin. The mark - the target or goal - is Love; we suffer whenever we fall out of alignment with Love. Suffering and joy are part of the guidance system we have been given. The homing device - which when followed - will bring us back home to Love. Suffering tells us that we are believing a delusion or taking a wrong direction - while joy tells us the opposite. If we do not want to suffer - then we must stop believing or doing what causes us and others suffering - and start believing and doing what brings peace - Love and joy.
