I've sinned and I'm worthy of the affliction and the pain, but God Jesus Christ has His hand over me and everyone....who is going through a similar problem......God Jesus Christ's grace is enough, and we must repent and fight the further temptations for God Yahweh's glory through the guidance of God Holy Spirit to understand that this life on earth is simply a pilgrimage and to reach God Jesus Christ is our final destination with or without hands, feet, eyes or ears, because at the end of the race God Jesus Christ will make us whole and joyful.....

Amen. Many times when we go through painful trials and you've been in that fiery furnace of fire for far too long, there's a creeping deception in the heart which says "maybe God is punishing me for all my past sins". And God had to remind me that "he is the one who blots out my transgressions for His Own Sake, and that he remembers my sins no more...(Isaiah 43:25)." Oh' may the good Lord help us to be wise in these afflictions and to possess his Godly pleasing view concerning them. May he enlighten the eyes of our hearts so that we may see beyond the afflictions to have everlasting joy 🙌🙌

Thanks for sharing. It's a precious gift and a great honor to suffer for Christ and the gospel!!Its very hard but God gives strength to endure right when we need it and always after the comfort comes. Many times I had to wonder if these afflictions were working out for my good, because in the moment, it doesn't feel like it, but then I remember when The Lord called me and also my love ❤️ for Christ and then I receive assurance that it's for my good 😊 Let us give thanks to God for His loving discipline and praise Him for His enabling grace!!God bless you all in Jesus precious name!!

Doesn’t bother me one bit. I’ve suffered prodigiously my whole life and by the grace of God I can connect all of it. I was once framed by a cop and God used it to saved me from disease. My Dad dyeing in front of me brought me to repentance. My mother choosing cocaine over me brought me love for God and left a depth only he could fill. On and on and on. Suffer with the right mentality, self pity is a sin, and we’ve all been guilty of it. If you suffer with gratefulness and joy in God you’d be surprised how he connects the dots over decades.

Everything is Father filtered in our lives. Remember, Satan has to have permission to do anything against you. All things work out to our good.

Oddly enough, a popular book called "Thick Face Black Heart" actually justifies our God's position on dealing with His children while still achieving His ultimate goal! Just review the life of Job, Noah, Moses, Esther, the Prophets, David, the Apostles, Jesus and even your own personal life, and you'll notice that God is the supreme master of "tender coldness"! 🤔

Can you imagine praying and working to defeat something for nearly 50 years and when on the cusp of seeing your dream fulfilled have John Piper call you presumptuous for thinking life should take precedent over his personal view of pride? Yeah, it is disgusting. And then to have his supporters, ostensibly all prolife, line up like drooling fools to back up his every utterance? Sickening.

"God Destined Your Afflictions - Don’t Be Shaken! 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5, Part 3" Kind Sir...I'm sorry! But Jesus (who IS the ONLY true God Almighty) NEVER predestined most things that will have ever happened! (But a Few things He did Predestine)....For YOU and... Yours (and many churches) have not understood: the difference between "Omniscience" and "Predestination"! IE: 1. "Omniscience" allows one to KNOW every thing that will ever be. But it does not mean; one cause it to happen. Believe it or not. 2. Predestination allows one to KNOW the future AND they Predestined it also! But "THANKFULLY": Jesus didn't! Believe it or not. Praise Jesus' Holy Name! Because...He "chose" NOT to Predestine, MOST of the happenings: from "Creation to the End of the World". So He could give EVERY one "Free-Will"! And believe this or not: He forgot every thing He wrote in His "Book of Life". And that book will NOT be known; until Jesus breaks the 7th and last Seal; on "Judgment Day"! Sitting in the Great White Throne! When *ALL* will be revealed! And the ONLY way Jesus knew what happened; is when it happened; as humans did! Believe it or not. Now YOU and "Yours" will say, "That is Impossible!". But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them... Matthew 19:26 With mankind this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. End of Story and I rest me case... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

What a heresy!!! Your teachings Mr. Pat dee, come from you, not from God. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work. (2 John 1:9-11) I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. (Romans 16:17-18)

So God isn't sovereign over all things, just some things? There are maverick/rogue molecules in the universe outside of God's authority? There is a chance that one sheep that was chosen before the foundation of the world will not be gathered? Satan has a chance to thwart and do violence to God's will for at least one of the elect, by his supernatural powers? Scripture doesn't teach that, nor was that the confession of the early church, nor the post reformation church. This issue was settled at the synod of Dort, which gathered the church for 7 months and 153 separate meetings: the idea of man's free will was found to be heresy-- although not necessary for a believer's theological knowledge /understanding to be saved. I wish we would put this idiocy to rest once and for all. The church already dealt with this issue, and remaining hermeneutically-challenged brings no convincing rebuttal; whether in the 1530s or in now 2022.
